We have been coming to the Cove for over 30 year. We started coming before we were married and just celebrated our 30th anniversary there. We love the beautiful view and being able to snorkel with the turtles anytime we want. The unit we stay in #109 is so beautifully decorated and has the perfect view. We also love having... More

Small, quiet and a beautiful view of the cove which is a turtle sanctuary. You can snorkle with the turtles everyday. Also a great location to learn to paddleboard. Great for couples or families. Pool, bbq's and fun "poo poo" party on wednesdays. The office manager is great. Su has lots of valuable local info for you. Yes, we will... More

If swimming and paddle-boarding in a lovely protected cove, or snorkeling with scores of sea turtles and a multitude of reef fish and marine life, is your idea of the perfect foundation for a holiday on Maui, as it has been for my wife and I on many repeat stays here, then you couldn't go wrong by choosing Honokeana Cove... Truth be told, I am torn about doing this review. Because I don't really want more people to know about this place, but the folks who run this Condo rental complex are so nice and they asked me to. Tucked into a beautiful shelter cove full of sea turtles and reef aquatic life, Honokeana Cove is what Maui is all... More

Aloha Bruce, Thank you so much for your awesome review. It is people like you who can appreciate what Honokeana Cove has to offer. You are correct that just a small few units are out dated but these units are working on improving them soon. That is why it is imperative to look at each individual virtual tour of any... More

Positives: This complex is smaller with apparently 38 units. you get away from the big hotel crowds of large resorts. The grounds are well kept. The units have kitchens and are generally well equipped. The front area is nice, the lawn area is very well kept, easy to get a lounge chair. Good view. The units are generally well kept,... More

Aloha Bob, Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you had a bad time here at the Cove. If there a noise problem after hours, the resident manager can be contacted to fix the situation. As far as crying babies, that one is a hard one to fix. During part of the year we have mainly seniors here and... More

Snorkelling every day with the beautiful fish and turtles. Our condo was a bit run down but perfect for our family. It is on the market so can imagine it will be updated. Management is fantastic and the property is very well maintained. Very family environment. Pupu parties are a great way to meet your neighbours. Definitely be back.

Our first visit to Honokeana Cove already planning another two weeks for next year. It is a most beautiful scenic and secluded spot. The condo complex is small with 38 units, two story, very friendly atmosphere, quiet and relaxing. It is secluded and beautifully maintained. Su Campos, the property manager, is awesome, and you feel like part of the family... More

While not a luxury complex the unit we were in was comfortably furnished and well equipped. The kitchen provided a selection of spices and some food basics like sugar, salt, oil and vinegar. Also provided a generous selection of cleaning materials and paper goods. This was quite nice. Location, views: outstanding. As it is not AC'd we slept with windows... More

Aloha, thank you for your review. Honokeana Cove is not a 5 star hotel but rather a comfortable, clean and "Aloha" place to simply enjoy a restful Hawaiian vacation. The best entrance into the water for snorkeling is provided by the South end of the Cove where there is a few stairs entering into the sandy based ocean; it is... More

My wife and I first stayed at Honokeana Cove in 1975. We come back in March for the whales, and then again in September to just vegetate, relax, meet many interesting people, build a tan, snorkel, find some turtles below, swim in the pool, eat in and out, BBQ, and feel for the the time we are there that we... This is our second time to this little jewel of a place. Though we picked a different condo, brought our family with us, it is still a wonderful place to be. Being small and quaint has a charm all it's own. The grounds are spotless, the pool is spotless, the condo was wonderful. We knew that you could see turtles... More
