The Kaanapali Alii was perfect for us. We stayed in Building 3, with a partial ocean view, so from our lanai, we could see the ocean/beach/surfers, the grounds next door and the mountains. I give the Alii 5 stars for being in a great location and having large updated condos with excellent service from the staff.
