Fantastic ocean view. We had bottom floor corner condo. View excellent. Interior very dated, really crummy furniture - bamboo couch and one chair. Couldn't comfortably seat the three of us. Sofa bed was worn out, master bed also worn out. We actually stashed many of the dry flower arrangements which covered the unit. Kitchen and bathroom fairly nice. Interestingly there... More

Not often after doing extensive research with Trip A, that I write an unfavorable review. But feel that is my duty as a fellow traveler to let others know about an unfortunate experience.. Every few years our girls group take a trip to Hawaii we have stayed at the Aston Waikiki and Kauai. The trouble with Papakea is: A. Hidden... More

We were taking our first trip to Maui and had trouble finding suitable accommodation at short notice. We eventually managed to book at Aston Papakea Resort through Donna Bender at www.MauiCalls.com and she was able to book this wonderful spot along with sending us a gift of a comprehensive guide to Maui. This condominium hotel has been given various ratings... More

We stayed for a week in March. Great friendly staff. Beautiful pools. Plenty of BBQs next to the pools. Very clean condo. The views of the grounds and the ocean were worth millions.Nice sandy beach just a short walk. ABC store located within 2 minutes walk from resort. Excursions available to be booked in lobby.

Same beautiful ocean views, wonderful sunsets, attractive landscaping , and nice resort ammedities as other upscale Kaanapali resorts, at a much reduced price. Most units are fully owner owned and available for rent either through Aston or better yet directly through owner via sites like VRBO or several local property management companies. Since units are privately owned, individual units can... More

This place is awful in terms of parking. Absolutely full. Nowhere to park and given poor advice from staff. Told to park in 15 min only slot or loading areas due to lack of space...then rung at 10.40pm with threats of being towed. Reception blaming other staff members. Security guards involved. Complete fiasco. Avoid if you want hassle free experience.... More

We enjoyed our stay here mostly because of location and the relaxed atmosphere. I felt more like I was staying at an apartment. The rooms are large and comfortable. The barbecue facilities are very easy to use and located around the swimming pools. The pools one was heated and one was not were decent size and the two hot tubs... More

We spent 9 nights at Papakea ( 2 adults, 3 kids), along with 11 other family members. Rooms were great, with full size refrigerator and washer and dryer. Pool was small, but kids didn't seem to mind. Across the street from a grocery store and several food options. Loved Java Jazz and Ono Tacos. Would definitely stay here again, as... More

If you book through Aston you'll probably pay more, but if you find an independent rental this place is great. There are a lot of differences between each condo unit, so be sure to get one with AC in the bedrooms. We really like the more remote beaches north of all the hotels. The pool, hot tub and BBQ area... More

Loved the well kept grounds-beautiful ponds and flowers. The ocean was only a few yards away. A short walk to ABC and grocery store. What another reviewer posted is correct. There are different resort companies to rent from. We went through Vacation Internationale. Found out their condos are ground floor only. No ocean view and no sun. The condo really... More
