This property is part of the Royal Lahaina, which is a nice property. The Kaanapali Ocean Inn is next door. It is on the beach but that is ALL it has going for it. The hotel is dirty. I don't mean just a little dirty, I mean NASTY dirty. Stains on carpet, stains on walls, etc. Then there is the... More

This is in a great location of Ka'anapali Beach. Easy to get to driving. Restaurants and shopping are all very close at Whalers Village. There is a free trolley that runs as well to Whalers Village and other neighboring beach resorts. Room was large and even though I was alone, I had a room with 2 queen beds since they... More

The room, bedsheets were all clean. The shower room is very small . Inside Royal Lahaina resort and accessible to the private beach . We stayed here for 3 nights and I will definitely recommend this place for the half price of the RL resort.

We had reserved by internet and the pictures/description had nothing to see with reality. Room with a view on a roof, old fashioned room, old carpet and peinture in the stairs, no lift, etc. We decided to move to another hotel part of that resort and payed the difference. Good choice.

Stayed 2 nights Hotel is old, out dated and in need of a lot of work, this is not a deal for the money, it is barely worth half the price. Wall paper peeling, mini fridge barely working, hvac very noisy, carpet worn, miny ants everywhere on second day. The beach however is great. all services is at the adjacent sister... More

I recently stayed at the Kaanapali Ocean Inn on Sept 3 2014 - sept. 7 Im reading bad reviews . That's why I felt the need to write my own. First the inn does need updating with the rooms. But you have to remember your paying a small amount compared to other hotels. Im thinking the negative reviews are from... More

If it weren't for being in one of the most beautiful places on earth, this trip would have been a complete bust. The hotel itself is in the Royal Lahaina Resort, so you get access to everything they offer. But it's obvious that the Kaanapali Ocean Inn gets put on the backburner when it comes to any repairs or renovations.... More

If you have young Children or a senior citizen that can't maneuver stairs - don't check in and be fooled by the affordable rate. No elevators ! If you're traveling through for a few nights on a honeymoon and on a budget - don't ruin your trip either! If you have other choices on this tropical paradise - go for... More

This is a great hotel for budget minded travelers. Of course the oldest hotels have the best beach locations because they got there first. From my balcony I had both a mountain view and an ocean view. I could also enjoy the beautiful music from the Luau. Room has everything I needed including a fridge, and was quite comfortable. My... Worst place I've ever stayed at. The room had tons of various bugs and trails of ants. When I was closing the sliding door lizard fell on my head! On the second day of our stay we found a note that they will fumigate entire Inn due to bugs and asked us to gather our belonging in one spot and... More
