Worst place I've ever stayed at. The room had tons of various bugs and trails of ants. When I was closing the sliding door lizard fell on my head! On the second day of our stay we found a note that they will fumigate entire Inn due to bugs and asked us to gather our belonging in one spot and... More

Just got back from staying at the ocean beach inn, in Maui. It was amazing , don't know where these other people that left bad reviews were staying. The room.was very clean and was cleaned everyday . The carpet was clean and dry, our room.was on the top floor ,ocean view right over the entrance to the beach that was... More

Though the Royal Lahaina Luau is housed at this hotel, and the beach access is great, the rooms at the "Ocean Inn" portion of the property were not in good shape. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, and the rooms need serious updating. You would think that the parking would be free after dealing with those things, but no, it's $10... More

We have a time share on Maui and stay there whenever go to Maui. On this last trip, because of flight issues, we had to come in one day early and couldn't get into our time share until the next day. We stayed here one night. We chose the location primarily because of the cost. I didn't want to drop... More

Let's talk. There is a big difference between inexpensive and cheap. I took a chance on this because I thought 'how bad could it be' and "we won't be spending much time in it anyway." Unless you are a college kid and are used to a musty, dank, dark dorm room that comes with that expensive education your parents paid... More

When you think of kaanapali perfect views and well kept properties come to mind, but don't expect the Ocean Inn to live up to this expectation. The rooms aren't kept clean, the woodwork is a mess, the walls are dirty and the furnishings are ancient. The facet in the bathroom had green mold under the handle that you couldn't get clean... We booked an ocean view room for 3/30/14 after having ignored previous negative reviews since we only needed one night before flying out the next day. The shower was dingy and stained and it was so small that the shower curtain kept blowing on while trying to shower, the reflective silver on the mirror in the bath was seriously flaked... More

Where do I start? I saw some of the reviews and I was super nervous about staying here. We booked way back in November 2013, but our stay was from Feb. 26, 2014 to March 4, 2014. We reserved an ocean front room with the hotel and car package, and gave a $500 deposit. When we arrived and picked up... More

Love the ocean and beach? On a budget? Then Kaanapali Beach area is where you want to be. Most of resorts along this strip are "luxurious" and expensive. Kaanapali Ocean Inn is a budget hotel among all the high end hotels. The hotel is right on the beach. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is 10 minutes away... More

If you have no other option, this is well located, right on the beach and with amenities of the Royal Lahaina Resort, however the rooms are extremely outdated. Our room smelled and the bathroom was not clean. We (like most that try to stay here) upgraded to the Royal Lahaina and had a pleasant stay--clean rooms with gorgeous views.
