Kulakane, located in Ka'anapali, is a low density condominium community smack dab on the ocean. We stayed in a 2nd floor one-bedroom unit for a week. The good stuff: TRUE oceanfront, not just oceanview; clean, well-furnished unit; fabulous neighbors, many of whom are owners on long visits; fabulous views to Molokai and Lanai; walking distance to grocery stores, restuarants and... more

We loved it. My wife and I spent 2 weeks there. We stayed in the end unit #201, very quiet, roomy and peaceful. There are 42 units, the views were incredible and every night the green sea turtles came in to the shore to eat the sea grass, they were only 2-6 feet away from the shore. When you were... more

We found the Kulakane (unit 114) after hours of searching VRBO.com. Kulakane represented an excellent value--a beautiful ocean front condo, with lots of recent updates, and genuinely nice people around us. There's a real sense of community in a complex this small, and I'd recommend it to pretty much anybody! more

Excellent in all regards! As a middle age couple, we enjoyed everything about Kulakane. Judith Ann, the on-site manager, is a delight, and goes all out to make visitors feel at home and welcome. The grounds are well kept, and the property is right at water's edge. Beautiful sunsets are guaranteed! We will definitely stay at Kulakane on our next... more

We love the Kulakane so much because it is the closest condo to the ocean we have ever stayed. You could throw a rock off the balcony and hit the water. It is that close. This time we stayed in Unit 303, which is a two bedroom and two bathroom loft unit, The decore is beautiful, granite countertops, up to... more

The view is fantastic from the moment you walk through the front door and see the vivid blue color of the ocean greeting you. The condo we stayed in was decorated very nice and had the owners personal touches everywhere. The beach is small but private and the the snorkeling is great. The only complaint I could give was that... more

Had a wonderful stay, still saw a few whales. Friends told us many more seen in Jan and Feb. Nice snorkeling right in front of resort and short walk to Farmer's Market and coffee shop. Quiet and friendly with unobstructed views of Molokai and Lanai. Well maintained grounds. Good value. more

We absolutely loved the Kulakane. We stayed there for two weeks duing our honeymoon, so for an extended stay it made much more sense to stay in a condo than a hotel. Also, they have a discount for the off season (summer) depending how long you stay, I think we got 20% off. It is a 10 minute drive to... more

My wife and I just returned from a 7-night stay at the Kulakane, and we had a terrific experience. This was our third stay there (1st floor condo), and as always we were impressed with our condo comfort level, the "right out your back door" ocean access, the upkeep of the grounds, the friendliness of the staff/residents, and Honokowai's proximity... more

This hotel is over rated. There is no Air Conditioning. No Maid Service. The fans in our suite did not function properly. The pool is very small. Little or no customer service. more
