Not a bad place at all...but rooms have mostly partial view of ocean even if they call it ocean view....if u r taking the ones that are called Ocean Front (which r surely expensive) then they would be awesome.... But it is truely on beach side...just walk out on the back side and there u r...the beach is very narrow... more

The hotel has old condo units. Bathrooms are aged, furniture is old, mattresses are sinking (must be 20 years old) and room definitely had mildew. I would not pay this rate had I known the place was going to be like this. They also do not have restaurant, bar, or lounge area. No service outside of a front desk person... more

Outrigger Royal Kahana was a great find -- great value, nice location, and worked out very well for us. Easy access to beach. The grills in the pool area came in very handy for us on several evenings. We did a lot of traveling all over Maui while we were there, and the Royal Kahana was nice to came home... more

You can't beat the Royal Kahana for closeness to the beach - no golf course to traverse to get there. This was our 5th trip to Hawaii. There is just something about the islands, we'll be back soon. The property was a great location, well maintained, clean and neat.
