We were a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but since this was a time share exchange that we were given by a family member, we didn't have much room to complain. The Kahana Beach Resort was a pleasant surprise. For people planning to stay there, my first suggestion would be to know what type of place you... more

We traded our timeshare week for this place, so the price was right, but if we return to Maui, we will stay somewhere else. The front desk staff was not very helpful when we checked in. They didn't give us much information about events, what day the cleaning would be, or anything else. The acitivties desk helped us get tickets... more

We had some qualms about trading our timeshare week and staying here after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, but we were pleased with our stay. This is a condo/timeshare with one bedroom and mostly studio units. The units are spacious, with plenty of closet and drawer space to store your belongings. The shower/toilet area was a bit small but very... more

This place was far below our expectations. While it was admittedly clean, it was also terribly uncomfortable. We hardly slept a wink at this place: the bed was lumpy at best; but even worse, the air conditioner was on a "motion sensor" making it turn off once you go to sleep (since, of course, you don't move much in the... more

If you want a room with an amazing view for a low cost, then this is the place. However, the amenities here are rather sparse. First of all, the bed was horrific. We didn't mind the fact that it was a murphy bed, but the mattress seriously needs to be replaced. It killed our backs. Second, as the previous poster... more

Okay, part of the hell was because my husband went body surfing the third day and injured his back. BUT, let's start with day one, arrival, ok. Room view was awesome. We were on the top floor, corner unit with a 180 view. Okay, that's the good part. the first morning, I opened the closet and the a/c had dripped... more

I must admit I had a lot of reservations about the Studio room with Murphy bed, which I'd only ever seen in movies or sit-coms, never in "real life", but it proved to be a non-event. The bed was normal sized & very comfortable and the room is a reasonable size for 2, even with the bed left folded down.... more

This was the best deal we could find on the Internet and hoped for the best when we booked our room. We were plesantly surprised with the location - right on a swimable beach, and the room had everything we wanted. We stayed in room 1201 which had a view of the ocean and the other resorts. Since we were... more

We stayed in a ocean front room 1005, the view from this room was amazing i dont think it could have been more amazing. Now the room was in need of some up dating. The bathroom needed to be gutted, the toilet and bathtub were so run down, they just looked old and dirty. The walls needed a paint job... more
