The hotel is not that new (or so it appears to be) and the rooms are below average for a 5 start but, the location is just perfect. It is located at the end of the Kaanapali beach. If you are a big fan on being on the beach and the ability to just jump into the water for some... More

Overpriced rooms, overpriced activities, overpriced restaurants, and overpriced bar. A decade ago this place may have been great, but now it's past its prime. We slept here and enjoyed activities and meals elsewhere because it was half as expensive to do everything away from the resort. For the average traveler (not exceedingly wealthy), there are better options. Consider a vacation... More

We stopped in this Hotel at the end of our Hawaiian vacation, after staying in other resorts. And, being SPG members, we had certain expectations on it. Alas none of them was fulfilled. *** Room *** We were in a partial ocean view room (upgraded) that was supposed to have a balcony. Well, you could almost not stand on the... More

We used points to book a room and wanted to upgrade to a suite because we had our 15 year old son and the regular room was very small. We upgraded for $200.00 a day more-the suite was big and the view was beautiful but the room and bathroom were outdated and smelled like mold. I was so disgusted with... More

My family and I stayed here over the weekend for my son's high school prom. It is a very nice resort. The room was nice. The staff in general are very friendly and helpful. However we ran into, what I described as discrimination, at the pool side. My wife who is a fair skin Caucasian and my high school son... More

Just got here ..: what a disappointment. Paid over $400 for a room that isn't even big enough to store our 3 bags and is decorated like my grandmothers house. No welcome lei no happy anniversary. If I could move hotels I would. Waited 6 months for this trip... What a total disappointment and I have only been here and... More

We loved this beautiful, sprawling, unpretentious property at the north end of Kaanapali. I wish their lobby was more active, lively, and connected to the beach. Enjoyed the leisurely walk to Whaler's Village.

Just completed a 5 night stay at the Sheraton. Paid to upgrade to gain lounge access as well as received a room upgrade to an ocean front room, the view was awesome. You can't beat snorkeling or the beach at Black Rock! Breakfast in the lounge was adequate, but don't bother stopping by in the evenings. Wine was not good,... More

We stayed here for the first time recently but should have stayed here much sooner. The staff assigned us an oceanfront room! In Maui, an oceanfront!!! The hotel property is very big, and there is much to see. The reason people stay here is simple: The beach is the best beach on the west coast of Maui (we have stayed... More
