My new wife and I checked into this hotel a bit concerned with some of the reviews, but that wasnt a worry at all after only 10 minutes. Check in was superb and really personal as we got congratulations of the reception staff and told some hawaiin traditions for newly weds, like which side to wear your flowers :) When... more

Our stay at the Westin has been our worst & most disappointing in several years. Checking in was cold & very impersonnel. First time a hotel wasn't prepared to accept my Visa card as it was a debit card. In the end they did as it was that or nothing. The receptionist ignored us and spoke in another language to... more

We had a fabulous time. This was a trip from my husband to celebrate me turning 50 and being a five year cancer survivor. Yes it is an average resort. We stayed here knowing that this was an older resort. He choose a premium ocean view room. We had a great view of the pool and the ocean. He booked... more

I was paying $400 per night at Westin, so I was expecting it to be like other Westins - great. It was nice. The standard rooms were more than just "standard," they were rooms that I would not pay more than $150 for it. Small, dirty, and awful bathroom. On the brighter side, the spa was EXCELLENT. Lots of pools,... more

The reason why I say Hot & Cold is because of the pool area. We found the stone around the pool area to be burning hot while the pool water to be quite cool. Felt like the pool water temperature to be under 80 degrees. So if you're barefoot you pretty much have to come off the stone and jump... more

If you have a family with children, you're going to love this hotel. There's a slide at the pool and birds & fish in the lobby. If you're a childless couple looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway -- this hotel is not for you. We were so unable to relax, we left mid-stay and went to the Four Seasons in... more

Definitely love the location have stayed here 4 times over the years. However really it comes down to the room you get. The newer tower is the Ocean Tower and the rooms are significantly larger (I'd approximate by 30%) over the older tower. FYI: The older tower is the building with the main entrance. Ocean view rooms are better in... more

We booked our trip through Expedia and were expecting a Premium Deluxe Room with ocean view. We expected to be over the pool area in the Beach Tower but were surprised to get room 890 at the end of the building which had a fabulous full view of the beach from the spacious and very private lanai. The room was... more

We just got back today from a one week stay at the Westin Resort. $420 a day room in addition to a daily State tax, Resort tax, Excise tax, and misc. taxes brought it to $500 a day wihtout any room charges. This is called the 'Standard Room'. Here are the lows: - Remote control didn't work...no big deal...they replaced... more

We stayed in room 588 in the Beach Tower June 12 - 26. We had a wonderful view of the pool and the ocean. The room was a luxury suite with a hudge bathroom and a wonderful hot tub inside. I would definitely recommend upgrading to a suite if you are staying for a week or longer. We saw a... more
