I had a conference in Maui at the Westin. Since I was paying my own way, money was a big issue. A friend who lived on Molokai for 4 years recommended the Mauian. I had read the reviews and was a bit nervous, but decided to go for it. When my husband and I pulled into the parking lot, I thought, oh no, what have I done. But once out of the car, and into the grassy interior area of the resort, the fears were calmed. When we got to our second floor room and opened the door, we were truly excited about what a great deal we had gotten. New wood cabinets, granite countertops, cooktop, microwave, stainless fridge, gorgeous bathroom, new carpet, a comfortable bed I wanted to bring home with me . . . it was too much! The lanai had a gorgeous view of the beach, and the islands Lanai and Molokai. Two ceiling fans kept us cool. The only think lacking was a table lamp for the table on the lanai so we could see at night without having to turn the overhead light on. I never saw one bug... more
