This was my second trip to Hawaii, first to Maui. We arrived at the KBH around 9pm and the girl at the desk greeted us with a big smile and a friendly "Aloha!". We were checked into our room quickly and found ourselves on the 5th floor of the Kauai wing. Lovely room!! It was spotless and comfortable and had... More

Easy to locate. Decent prices. We received an upgraded room and champagne for our anniversary. The tiki terrace restaurant leaves something to be desired. The beach and pool were great. Rooms were a bit damp and some dated decor. Would stay again, staff was great!

On a "reunion" trip with 4 friends, one who lives across the street on the golf course for 40 years so he knows Maui! When I first arrived I was a little ill with sinus stuff. Couldn't find Kleenex in the room and no bottled water. I was disappointed. Then after 2 days I found the kleenex in a drawer,... More

We stayed here April 4 through April 12th. Had 2 ocean front rooms in Kauai section of the 6th story Lanai Building. Room 486 was a corner room - had a ocean front balcony and a window n the room that looked out to the left. Never had a room with a window in addition to the balcony. It was... More

Once you stay there you can understand why it was awarded this title. They share the Hawaiian culture every day with various activities for all to share. The proximity to the beach is amazing. The Sunday Buffet Breakfast is a must, with bookings essential. The rooms were spacious with amazing views of the ocean. The whale shaped pool is great.... More

Arriving for our 4 night stay-the front desk was disorganized and couldn't find our booking so it took over half an hour and with that they would not supply breakfast as we had paid for as it was not listed so they offered breakfast for 30.00 each. We had requested 2 rooms together which couldn't be organized and one of... More

We stayed here for 4 nights - our arrival was terrible. They put us in the room right next to the elevator with our toddler son, there were leftovers from the people before us in the fridge and the grab and go bar down stairs sold us out of date salmon. Staff didn't care and argued with my husband. Finally... More

I stayed with my teenage kids and in-laws. The grounds are very nice but the rooms are small and a bit worn and outdated. The location is perfect , right on the beach between Black Rock and Whalers Village. The restaurant is not great and breakfast is way overpriced. Whalers Village next door has better options, so it's no big... More

We stayed at the Ka'anapali April 5-9 for a short Anniversary Get A Way! We had a fantastic time. The rooms are average but clean and located directly on one of the best beached in Maui! The culture, food and service were fantastic! We were serenaded by They embrace the Hawaiian culture with art, vendors and a story around every... More

Really loved this place for the location, the ambience, the Hawaiian hula shows, the retro buffet breakfast. However, I cannot award an excellent rating for a hotel not offering free WIFI in the rooms. One must either go to the pool area or the business centre and a fee for service applies.
