If real Hawaiian ambiance is your cup of tea, then this is the place to stay. The property is very nice and open and of course on the beach. Room are decorated in Hawaiian style and a very comfortable. Hawaiian activities go on daily and there is entertainment each evening. The breakfast buffet in the Tiki Terrace restaurant is very... Like many couples my wife and I are repeat visitors to Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Right now I am sitting on the lanai of my ocean front room. It's early morning and I'm enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the joggers go by. I'll try to get a photo linked to this, but the view is fantastic! In a little... More

We had a ocean front room ..just steps from the beach. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was small, but functional. The hotel staff was great and one could tell they liked where they worked. The prices were fair and reasonable. The pool was cold, but who cared...the beach was right there and wonderful. A bonus was Black... More

We stayed at the end of a 5 week tour on the mainland. It was an anniversary trip and this was the splurge part. We upgraded to ocean front room (not Ocean view) which was quite expensive, and had asked for a high floor to make the most of the view. I doubt our request had been noted because we... More

We spent 2 nights here in August 2014, and although the location of the hotel is wonderful and right on the beach, the entire hotel is dated and in serious need of updating. The room was large with a comfortable bed, but the furniture and carpeting is serious 1970's "vintage" and the bathroom old and motel-like. The saving grace of... More

If you are thinking of going to Hawaii, and you want an authentic experience, either before or after enjoying Waikiki, (which is good in its own way), consider spending some time at Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. My wife & I celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary (young 60yr olds) in Hawaii by spending 7 days in Waikiki, which we really enjoyed, and... More

Stayed for a week in September 2014 as part of a two week trip to Hawaii and had a good experience. The location is good and the beachfront access is decent although we were a bit surprised to have to pay for sun loungers on the beach. The 'entertainment' in the evenings left a lot to be desired so we... More

This hotel is at the cheaper end of the spectrum for this area. We found the rooms to be clean and serviceable, if a little dated and towards the back end of their refurbishment cycle. The rooms we chose were the cheapest available in the hotel, on the understanding that they face away from the beach and overlook neighbouring hotels.... More

The pictures and reviews paint a pretty picture of the Kaanapali Beach Hotel so I was thrilled to book it for our 8 night stay in Maui. A mistake I will never forget. The price seems reasonable until all the separate charges and 13% tax are added in (charge for parking and safe use and more). Them boasting that they... More
