I admit I don't go to a lot of large hotels, but this hotel was outstanding. The rooms were decorated rather nice. Much better then any hotel I have ever stayed in. The gardens were beautiful. The beach had some decent size waves coming in. However, on low tide there was a lot of rock and coral that you could... more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel on our honeymooon 23 years ago, and our teenagers (13, 14 and a friend who's 15) were so excited to return after years of looking at our honeymoon photo albums. The place truly has not changed one bit, and it's just as romantic and magical as it ever was. It is Old... more

Gorgeous location on Ka'anapli Beach, great restaurants close by, convenient to Lahaina and rest of Maui, beautiful open atrium, huge pools, open air restaurants and bars, relaxing sounds of the surf hitting the beach at night, great luau, just an incredible spot. Our son got his scuba certification while we where there, did 6 dives in 5 days, including a... more

I've never written a review on Trip Advisor, but felt obligated since I rely on it so heavily for my pre-trip planning. The hotel grounds were beautiful. Swan Court, where the breakfast buffet is, was stunning. The rooms---not so much. They really are dated. My brother, who works in the hospitality business and came over to visit one day, completely... more

We spent 6 nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui and had a wonderful time. This is primarily because we spent little time in our room, which was WAY past due for an update. We were in a king oceanview room in the main tower and the view was great, but if you are a light sleeper the open-air atrium can... more

I have never written a review but use them all the time to make sure I get exactly what I am looking for.. in this case I am disapointed in the Hyatt.. the grounds are very nice and the location is fine, but the rooms.. hardly a 4 star hotel they are in serious need of a upgrade, they smelled... more

The Hyatt in Kaanapali was a great honeymoon for us. The hotel itself was spotless and very well kept. We were a little concerned with the resort as we were looking for a couples only resort. That was not a problem at all! They have seperate pools and areas, which are on the other side of the resort, for children... more

We were very disappointed with the room (old and the bed was not comfortable at all). Also we enjoy spending time at the beach and this was really not as expected. They had a really small area with cabana's that were impossible to get and stood on a small hill by the hotel. If you want to have a nice,... more

The reviews that call for updating are right. There is a tired feel about the hotel. But the plantings and exotic birds throughout are still pretty interesting. The bed was very comfortable and the shower, while small, had a great shower head and great water pressure. The fitness center was really nice and the beach walk out front was the... more

My husband, 3 kids and I just got back from Maui. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. We did a few side trips, but were perfectly happy just staying on the propery. It is lovely and well maintained. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The water slide was being repaired when we got there, so they upgraded our... more
