Went for breakfast after watching sunrise... food was good typical breakfast fair nothing special. Price was so so for being Maui. Service was extremely slow do to the waiter not having any sort of memory during the entire meal. 20mins after drink order i finally get my moca latte, food waited in the service window until i asked about our... The Kula Lodge is very rustic, quaint, comfortable, and roomy. There are no televisions, phones, refrigerators, or even central heating...they do supply an electric heating unit though. It's proximity to Haleakala makes it a great place to stay if you want to drive up and see the sunrise from the summit. We spent our first two nights here and found... More

I just spent 4 nights in the infamous room number 5. From the moment I arrived, things got of to a bad start. I was treated like a terrorist. This place is a restaurant which happens to offer lodging. At 170 dollars a night tax included this place is terrible. It is basically a tiny hunter's cabin right next to... More

We went up to the Kula Lodge for breakfast on Sunday. Very busy and said wait was going to be 10 to 15 minutes. Turned out longer. Food is fair but the view is fabulous. Their kitchen set up needs help. Wait staff order takers and serve and bus their own tables, so things get slowed down. If you are... More

LOVE this place! After watching the sunrise over Haleakala crater and a long bike ride down the mountain.... We always stop at Kula lodge for breakfast! Hot chocolate in Maui is the best! Great breakfast -and view!

We stopped there on the way back from Haleakala for a late light lunch and ordered salads. The quinoa and beet salad promised fresh herbs on the menu and lots of flavour. There was none, the quinoa was bland, no herbs, no lemon. It was just 3 leaves on a plate with dry quinoa, few cherry tomatoes and beetroot slices.... More

The pizza is pricey but totally worth it. Their specialty, made to order selections are delicious. My lady ordered the french dip and it was very fatty and dry, which they replaced with a pizza. We had two different pies and thoroughly enjoyed both and had a few slices left over. And the view! Just cannot beat it. Be sure... More

Last year Kula lodge was a 5! This year I think you should go somewhere else to eat I am so disappointed. The coffee was weak and nasty, the food was just ok and over priced for what we got. With so many With great places to eat on Maui there's no reason to eat here.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring Maui, so I didn't see the reviews in advance. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately for lunch a few minutes before noon. The restaurant was almost full by the time we left, including a large private party outside. Our server, Ariana, recommended a salad and pizza. Everything was delicious.... More

We went with low expectations because of the negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. Maui is expensive so the room rate was ok for what you get. One night was plenty but we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) and easy access to Haleakala.
