We stopped there on the way back from Haleakala for a late light lunch and ordered salads. The quinoa and beet salad promised fresh herbs on the menu and lots of flavour. There was none, the quinoa was bland, no herbs, no lemon. It was just 3 leaves on a plate with dry quinoa, few cherry tomatoes and beetroot slices.... More

The pizza is pricey but totally worth it. Their specialty, made to order selections are delicious. My lady ordered the french dip and it was very fatty and dry, which they replaced with a pizza. We had two different pies and thoroughly enjoyed both and had a few slices left over. And the view! Just cannot beat it. Be sure... More

Last year Kula lodge was a 5! This year I think you should go somewhere else to eat I am so disappointed. The coffee was weak and nasty, the food was just ok and over priced for what we got. With so many With great places to eat on Maui there's no reason to eat here.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring Maui, so I didn't see the reviews in advance. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately for lunch a few minutes before noon. The restaurant was almost full by the time we left, including a large private party outside. Our server, Ariana, recommended a salad and pizza. Everything was delicious.... More

We went with low expectations because of the negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. Maui is expensive so the room rate was ok for what you get. One night was plenty but we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) and easy access to Haleakala.

I stayed at kula lodge for several nights. we got there my husband got our room(Room#5) we checked in and for what we payed we were very very disappointed not only was it old and poorly lit but once we set our bags down we noticed there were droppings on the floor from some smaller creatures and about 5-7 large... We stayed at the Kula Lodge (room #5) the night before we went to the Haleakala Crater for sunrise. The location was good, it took about 45 minutes to get to the top of the crater. The bed was comfortable and room appeared to be clean, but that's about it. The website describes it as 'rustic but quaint'. Forget quaint,... More

You have to stop here at some point during your trip. Exceptional food and spectacular views. Make sure to check out the art gallery too. Service was relaxed, not quite slow, but what's the hurry in paradise?

We decided to get something to eat on our way to the Haleakala Crater. This is the ONLY food stop for the next 30-40 some miles to the crater. The place is weirdly quiet. BEAUTIFUL VIEW - this is the only thing the restaurant offers. We ordered a turkey sandwich - $18!!!! and the garlic pasta - $13 We waited... More

Excellent breakfast after visiting Haleakala sunrise. Service by Carlos was very good and friendly. The views of the Maui valley top off the breakfast service. Would consider staying at lodge next visit.
