We were told by friends who had visited the Kula Lodge Restaurant to make an effort to stop here for a meal. As luck would have it, the Kula Lodge is on the route were taking while biking from near the Haleakala National Park to Haiku. We stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the best meal we had on Maui.... A nice and quaint restaurant we found after driving down from Haleakala. The food was quite tasty and good but I only gave a 4 rating because the receptionist who seated us and the waiter (a woman with glasses and somewhat curly hair - did not get her name) do not have the Hawaiian spirit and surprisingly was not the... We love the pizza and sandwiches. We have only been there for lunch. It is a bit pricey and lunch is less expensive. Definitely try the pizza. Service was great. Be sure to stop when you are upcountry.

We were biking down the mountain on our sunrise bike tour and stopped here for breakfast. Breakfast was very good but what was really great was the young server we had. He brought us a map of Maui and spent time giving us excellent tips on the island. The great tip he gave was telling us about the Bamboo Forest... More

My boss' family is from Maui and he recommended this place to us and we strongly recommend this place to you. They gave a generous 20% Kamaʻāina discount. It was very close to the lavender farms and the Haleakalā National Park 22-mile access road. We stayed here two nights mid-July and we loved it. There is no AC as you... More

We've stopped here for lunch several times on our way to Haleakala and thought it would be a sweet idea to stay here. Rooms were not even standard. No A/C, no TV, no blow dryer and our room had a very musty odor (we were told because it was built on a side of a dirt slope). Our view was... More

Stopped here for lunch after enjoying Haleakala National Park. Perfect lodge atmosphere complete with cozy fire. Loved our Maui onion soup and wood fired pizza. The view was perfect. Also bought some unique gifts at Kula Market next door. I highly recommend this stop during your Upcountry Day on Maui!

We stayed here between stays on the beach and weren't exactly impressed. We also chose this place because we liked the restaurant there. The room is very, very dated. The bathroom was remodeled but it wasn't done very well. The bedding is very dated and old along with the building in general. The good thing was that the unit was... More

We just stopped for the restaurant enjoyed the views and the walk throughout the garden. We had tried this place for breakfast earlier in the week and decided to go back for a sunset dinner. My husband ordered the baby back ribs which were cold and under cooked. He had to send them back and lost his appetite for any... More

The rooms were clean and tidy upon check-in, but the housekeeping situation on subsequent days left a lot to be desired. On the first full day housekeeping was minimal but okay (clean towels left on bed, but no other services). On the second day we returned to our room to find that some of our stuff had been moved around... More
