A friend and I stayed at the Wailea Marriot on our first trip to Maui in Feb 2008. My first impression upon arriving was that the grounds of the hotel were breathtaking! Not a cheap place, but worth a splurge for a few days :) Check-in was fine without any problems. We had a partial ocean view room which was... more

My family and I just returned from a very relaxing 8 day vacation at the Waliea Beach Marriott. Our family arrived on two different days, but check-in was a breeze. In order to keep our family close, and with connecting rooms, we were upgraded to oceanfront rooms free of charge. The rooms were nice. I think they could have splurged... more

We decided to stay here for 3 nights on our two week honeymoon to Hawaii. As an elite member and someone who indicated that he was on his honeymoon, I feel that the treatment that I got from the hotel was lacking. When we checked in, we were not offered an upgrade, nor even congratulated for being on our honeymoon... more

I just returned from staying at this property and it had it's pluses and minuses. First let me talk about the pluses. The new adult pool is one of the nicest pools I've ever been too. Not to mention the servers at the pool knew your name and were extremely friendly, I can't see enough good things about that. Service:... more

My wife and I stayed here using Marriott Rewards points, and we're very impressed with the hotel. Having undergone an extensive remodel, the hotel is very nice. Since I'm a Platinum member, my wife and I got a nice upgrade to an oceanfront room right behind the new Serenity pool. Awesome views of the sunset! Traveling for work DOES have... more

I just came home after a lovely 4 night stay at the Wailea Marriott. I arrived first thing in the morning after taking a red eye flight on Hawaiian Airlines from Las Vegas that worked out really well. It was an easy drive from the airport and after reading the reviews here knew to choose self park instead of valet.... more

We just returned from our Maui vacation (April 22 - April 29). We arrived around 4:00pm and check-in was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The infinity pool at Marriott is amazing. It is adults-only and we made sure to spend two full days there. The cabana rental was $50.00/day and it was worth the... more

The hotel was newly renovated, rooms were spacious, decorated well but you could tell it was an older property by looking at the ceiling. They forgot to update the ceilings and you could tell because they were dirty and yellowing! The grounds were beautiful, the pools great, (the new adult pool area was very nice!), and the location was ideal.... more

We had been to Maui several times, but never stayed in the Wailea area and decided it was time. We chose the Marriott and were thrilled with it. For us, it was the best choice, because we love to be close to the water. Our oceanfront room was extremely close and we loved relaxing to the sound of crashing waves.... more

Title says it all really. I was very disappointed with our check in experience. As a Marriott Gold Rewards member I had expected more ... there was no greeting and instead of being offered automatic upgrade I got the hard sell to upgrade for $75. When we pointed out my status the upgrade was received for free ... this shouldn't... more
