Have stayed at this complex for many years and not all condos are created equally. We stayed in 155 recently and were very disappointed. Bedroom carpet needs to be replaced and ceiling fans need to be cleaned. Door stops were where the door know broke a hole in the wall. This condo needs to be updated - location is great... More

Lots of mixed reviews of various units in this complex. We lucked out on unit 203 in building 1. Close to the road, but worth it for easy access to the beach. Everything in great shape. Highlights: - air conditioning in both bedrooms - fast wifi -washer/dryer -well equipped kitchen The staff was very helpful. We didn't take advantage of... More

We booked through Expedia and upon arriving late in the evening found our condo. Very dark without many lights. Condo 138 was very disappointing! Old furniture including a hugh piano painted white. Green carpet and and musty smell.Decor was 70 ish. Several old hats were hanging on bedroom wall as decoration? We were so fortunate that a water break occurred... More

Thank you for your review of the Hale Kamaole. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy condo 138, which our vacation rental company manages. The owner of this condo plays the piano, hence the piano in the living room. We will pass on your comments to the owner regarding the piano, wall decorations, and overall décor to... More

Recently stayed for 10 nights in unit 270 and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The unit is in good shape and the setup was ideal for two couples plus one kid. Could accommodate another child easily as well. After reading a negative review here there was some concern in our group, but this was unfounded as there were no problems at all,... More

This being our 3rd trip to Hale Kamaole we were very disappointed in unit 123. Black Dirty fans, ceiling, greasy dishes and carpet worn and pulling up from the doorways. Minimal rusty beach gear and one of two chairs on the Lanai broken. Bathroom door did not lock. The furnishings were aged but comfortable and linens nice but overall cleanliness and... More

Thank you for your review of the Hale Kamaole. Our vacation rental company does not manage unit 123, but did want to point out that each unit will differ on décor and styling. We encourage all guests to view pictures of the unit they plan to rent so they can assure their needs are met (such as floor level, bed... More

We've stayed at Hale Kamaole for 21 years. It is well located, has a lot of green space, which can be rare in the denser condo complexes, and is a welcoming family-friendly place. Located directly across from Kamaole Beach Park III, which has a huge lawn between the road and the beach, great for throwing a ball or watching the... More

We've been coming to maui for many years, but this was our first time at Hale Kamaole as we couldn't book a unit at kamaole sands (right next door) where we usually stay. We stayed in room 220. It was great. It seemed to have been recently renovated and it was very clean and updated and no problems with ants.... More

I'm staying in unit 130 for a week. This is a beautiful unit. The unit is large and has great amenities. It's close to the beach and right on the main street in kehei. You can walk to several restaurants ( off you like to walk) and were going snorkeling on redline rafting and it's practically across the street. This... More

We've stayed at Hale Kamaole in a few different units several times over the past seven years. Our stays have been very enjoyable and the units, while not glamourous, are clean, updated and very comfortable. The units we've stayed in all had beach equipment that we could use, air conditioning in the bedrooms to cool the room down before bedtime,... More
