Stayed two weeks at the Schooner. The first week we were in a one bedroom in A Building facing the ocean. We enjoyed being totally ocean front. In the mornings we watch the boats headed to Molokini as we drank our coffee on the lanai. The grass park area between the ocean and the building was great for our late... more

My family and I have a timeshare on Kauai and we traded it for this time to go to Maui for a change. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. What was nice about the place was that there was a TV in every room, however the second bedroom is a loft upstairs with 3 walls and a balcony... more

The best location on Maui, beautiful ocean front view, incredible sunsets. A small place wwhere you are not a number (I think 50 units) The staff is very responsive and the grounds are manacured. Heated pool and whirlpool. The rooms, while spotless, are in need of renovation which they say is planned for next year. Walking distance to literally everything,... more

Just returned from our stay of one week at the Maui Schooner. We enjoyed the pool area and amenities that the condo had to offer. Free internet in unit, chairs for the beach, cooler to take to beach in unit. Books to borrow or donate. Very friendly and helpful staff. Resort is conveniently located to all that Kihei has to... more

The longer we stayed the more we enjoyed this "old Hawaii" feel resort. Very comfortable, clean and several amenities we have not had before ie, beach chairs, cooler, free high speed internet, free beach towel usage. Beautiful grounds right on the ocean. more

If you can go on a short notice, you can get great deals here. A week for about $270 is a great deal on Maui. Is it the best?....No BUT it has very nice people working there and the guests (mostly owners) are quite friendly. Good views and location, small parking lot though. Find their host network and book hot... more

We traded an awesome timeshare for this property and it certainly was not an even exchange. Interval International labeled the property as a "Premier Resort, the highest level of recognition"; I'm not sure what they based that on but the Maui Schooner was not even close; labeling this place a "resort" is a stretch. When checking in, the desk clerk... more

Booked a timeshare ***** Star. This is a two star. Staff not very helpfull unless monetary encentive involved. Read Canadian reviews which are more realistic. Poor service. Great location. Beautiful grounds. NO beach. Old /smelly/ dingy rooms. The walls are thin can hear your neighbours all hours. Very dissapointed. more

We didn't want to leave. We traded a timeshare and were not sure what to expect. When we got in the unit, we were really surprised. We had a 3rd floor 2-bedroom with a kitchen. It was clean, and very well supplied with washer-dryer, all kitchen items for cooking, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, 2 tvs, DVD, VCR, wireless internet... more
