We have been to Punahoa about 3 times now! The first time, the building seemed a bit dated, but the price was right. The last time we went, the building was in much better condition and the beds were great! The view is really nice, as you are on the beach side of the street overlooking the water. To your... More

My wife, myself and two teen daughters stayed 2 weeks this past June one week at the Marriott and one week at the Punahoa Beach Condo's in Kihei. While both properties were nice we actually preferred the Punahoa condo over the Marriott. Here are some of the reasons. One, location of the property. You are literally right on a bluff... More

Loved this condo! Spent all our time in the Lanai watching the waves, the sunsets, the surfers- never wanted to leave. Well supplied, immaculate, well run property.so convenient to restaurants, walk to beaches, for groceries etc. comfortable bed, quiet side street. No A/C but with windows open, always a lovely cross breeze,. But with the windows open the birds are... More

Location, location, location. Between Charley Young Beach and Cove Park, walk to paddle board rentals and decent restaurants, snorkel right in front of the building (although we didn't do that). Great views from a huge lanai (3 chairs and 2 lounge chairs for this unit). For location, this would get 5 stars, except for the wind. The wind was nice... More

We recently stayed here for 10 days in #303. The property, as a whole, is charming, conveniently located to dining, rentals, shopping, and some nightlife. You have access to Kamaole Beach I and Cove Park beach and Charley Young beach. You can swim and snorkel right off the apartment plus surfing is a 2-3 minute walk away. Views are fabulous... More

Stayed in 401 for almost a week. Having a penthouse one here is the only way to go. Building is starting to show its age, but maintained well. This is not like a Hotel. It's like having your own home. Lots of cooking utensils and makes it easy to cook here. Nice Bar-B-Que. Very quiet place. Felt very safe. Easy... More

What's not to say? We rented unit 303 and instantly knew we did the right thing the minute we crossed the threshold. Very well stocked condo, spacious and inviting, lovely breezes flowing through all day and night and the fabulous Pacific ocean right outside your lanai. Charley Young Beach, about 100 yards away, is the very best for swimming, especially... More

The location: I know what you are thinking, but yes, beach front really means unobstructed beachfront. And being just off S. Kihei Rd. means no street noise. No matter which condo you select, your lanai will face the water and you will be happy. Picture green grass, palm trees, and then water so close you could throw a rock at... More

We have travelled to Maui for many years and our favorite place to stay is the Punahoa. You cannot beat the location. We stayed in #302 and this was just perfect for us. Comfortable, well equipped and it is handy to have sand chairs, umbrella and a cooler for trips to the beach. This unit is located away from the... More

Location location location. Yep, it's true. Where you stay makes a difference. And this place can not be beat for its ocean front location with practically a private beach only steps from your back door. Room 303 was fine. The owners provide welcome touches like coffee and macadamia nuts. Previous guests have left an assortment of useful items, spices, condiments... More
