We just returned from staying at a Nona Loni cottage. We were so impressed with the beautiful, lush, raiforest, grounds, and the very warm hospitality of the Kong family, who own it. Our cottage was beautifully decorated with quality, new furniture, tropical paintings and prints, and new burber carpet. The bedroom had a large closet containing a roll away bed,... more

I wish I could've stayed forever. Our cute cottage was surrounded by flowering trees, hammocks and picnic tables. The perfect place to relax and getaway. My friend and I didn't have a car so we took the bus to the maui ocean center, and up to lahaina to go on the atlantis submarine. We also bussed down one day to... more

Nona Loni Cottages saved us! We had booked a B&B in Lahaina. We got in around 10:30pm on a Sunday night and they didn't have us on their calendar! They were gracious and lovely and the place was fine, but upon waking up in the morning, I knew we had to move (what a way to start our Honeymoon:) I... more

My husband & I stayed 3 nights at Nona Lani. It was in a quiet part of Kihei[ away from the touristy spot. Beach across street from the cottage is nice for walking , and viewing sunset.Garden helps the quiet atmosphere, If you have time the hammock and lanai can be enjoyed From this base we drove the scenic Hana... more

We're so glad to have found Nona Lani, probably one of the most economical stays on Maui! This is a collection of 8 bungalows and 3 slightly outdated but super comfy hotel-style rooms run by the Kong family. Their immaculate grounds showcase native flowers and fruit trees - our cabin, #8, was adjacent to a fragrant Meyer Lemon tree -... more

My hubby Terry and I stayed at Nona Lani Cottages for a week in January and loved it. We read other reviews so requested a cottage back from the front cottages so the traffic noise didn't bother us. The Kong family are great hosts. They pretty much left us to ourselves but were available if we needed anything. We are... more

We stayed at the Nona Lani in November 2007 based on Frommer's review. We expected a very welcoming, friendly atmosphere as stated in Frommer's, but found the owner unpleasant and unhelpful. The location is noisy, room smelled heavily of bleach and disinfectant when we arrived, and when this dissipated, the odor of mildew or mold was almost as unpleasant. We... more

This is not a 5 star fancy hotel, however it is a true Hawaiian experience. The property sits on a beautiful garden and is directly across a beach which we could see from our porch. In addition to the cottages, they also have rooms in a house in the back of the property. We stayed in one of the cottages,... more
