These lovely casual cottages are perfectly situated for exploring all parts of the island. Not for resortists, but perfect for anyone who wants to really visit Hawaii. We loved lying around the grounds staring up at the sky and fruit trees. Heaven.

My hisband and I have stayed here 3 times in the last 7 years and we are always happy that we did. The cottages are very clean and the beds are pretty comfortable. We were not able to get wi-fi while we were here, but that was ok. We always stay at an ocean front cottage and it is pretty... More

Aloha and Mahalo. We are so pleased to hear your 3rd visit with us has been consistent with what we strive to offer. I did want to mention we are in the process of offering wi-fi access from the cottages. We have wi-fi currently, it is just available in the proximity of the office radius, for now. I must agree... We arrived in Kihei with no reservations made, we decided we will drive around and we will stop if we see some place we would like to stay. Nona Lani's Cottages were the first ones to see and liked. we wanted to stay 2 nights, but the minimum stay in the cottages is 4 nights, so Nona showed us some... More

We had finished our trip to Hilo on the big island and Kihei on Maui when we received an alert from American Airlines that our flight was cancelled due to the DFW airport weather closure. We called a few places that would cost less than $400 or $500 and all were full. I decided to drive the road through Kihei... More

My mother and I were vacationing on Maui enjoyed our stay at Nona Lani cottages. The cottages were small but cozy and clean (great for two people) and had everything we needed. We were looking for something away from the crowded, expensive resorts and we were happy with our choice. The Kong family was very friendly and accommodating and we... More

Cottages are just that-- small cottages (about 20' x 20'). Great for a couple or young family (or possibly a girlfriends retreat); the bedroom holds a standard double bed (w/ a great mattress), daybed/couch in living area & a roll-away (which is accommodated in bedroom).... Reminiscent of 'Dirty Dancing' but with an Hawaiian vibe. Kitchen is furnished with full-sized range,... More

This place was nice and clean. Right next to the beach and lovely gardens. There was a papaya tree right outside our cottage. We got pick papayas from the tree and they were delicious. Lovely spot. My only concern is that, we wanted a space for 4 people and these cottages are not big enough for 4. Bedroom hosts 2... More

This place was comfy and clean. The family who owns it is very nice and accommodating but I think the prices are a bit too much for what you get and the location. We moved down the road to a hotel that was beachfront in a great location for the same price. We stayed in the apartment studio at Nona... More

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Nona Lani Cottages and loved our time there. The grounds surrounding the cottages is full of tropical plants, plumerias , trees and lawn, and so very pretty. The cottages are family owned and operated, in a great sitting and quiet. The beach is right across the street. We watched the sunset from... More

The grounds on which the cottages are located are established, lovingly tended gardens. The cottages themselves are not fancy but are fully equipped, clean and comfortable. The Pacific is right across the road and miles of shoreline for walking await in both directions. Best of all, perhaps, was the lovely mother and daughters who were charming and more than helpful....
