The Ma'alaea Surf Resort is a beautiful, well maintained set of condo's right on Sugar Beach, in north Kihei. No matter which unit you rent, you'll have a great view, and are only steps from the beach. We truly felt like this was our home during our 12 days on Maui. We stayed in unit E4, a 2/2 on the... Unit H5 was nicely stocked. Only real negative was that we were there during the last Olympics and their ancient tubed TV died early in our two week stay. Had to go to a pub to watch Olympic events. Beautiful beach front two bedroom unit with table and chairs on a great balcony overlooking the ocean. Nice to fall asleep... More

We stayed at the Maalaea Surf Resort every single spring for years growing up. It's a wonderful spot, great beach, nice families, and a great pool. We've hosted Easter Egg hunts, fish BBQs, and fake water ballet competitions, have read many-a-book by the pool, and have truly come to love this special spot. A great place for a quiet, relaxed... We started coming to this property based on a recommendation of a friend from BC. We have made several trips here since and would not stay anywhere else on Maui. If you are looking for a great condo with all that makes it Hawaii, this is the best. Right on the beach with 2 pools too. We love eating dinners... More

The only way you're likely to be disappointed with this property is if you crave the mega action resort type of trip. If you've been to and prefer Lahaina and the likes of the mega hotels and condos, with the associated zoo like atmosphere, then don't choose this property. Otherwise if you want a laid back and more traditional Hawaiian... More

We just had our second stay at the Maalaea Surf Resort and I don't think that we will stay any where else on Maui from now on. It is the perfect central location to get to other parts of the island. We've stayed in Kaanapali many times and liked it but you can't beat a beach or oceanfront condo at... More

Aloha! We've been coming to the Maalaea Surf Resort since 1987 and it is a timeless spot that has never disappointed nor changed it's blissful environment. Whatever happens, as the decades have passed, nothing has lost its charm or beauty. The units can be very different depending on each owner, as they reflect the taste of the owner. Generally you... One of the best places we have ever stayed! We are repeat guests in G10. It has an amazing view of the pool and the ocean. The setting is beautiful, inside there a flat screen TV and beautiful furniture. My wife and our three boys come here every year!

H2 is on the ground floor - nowhere in Maui have we experienced the ability to walk out on the lanai to grass - sand - and then ocean. Spectacular setting and a wonderful unit. Very well appointed (if you enjoy eating in, you'll find the kitchen has every gadget you can think of) The bed is very comfortable and... More

Usually when you stay at a condo, the first thing you need to do is a shopping list. There are rarely spices, paper products, garbage bags, etc. This condo was perfectly outfitted. I mean everything! Including sharp knives. The bed was delicious. Even the sleeper sofa was very comfortable for our teenage daughter. Plenty of linens, paper products, beach towels.... More
