This is a property that is like it's own retreat. North Kihei is quiet and convenient, the beach just beautiful. The grounds are impeccably maintained, the units spacious, and the staff excellent. I like the layout and the vibe. We have stayed here before and knew this was the place to return for this trip. My unit, B-2 was spotless,... More

Great place! We were in D5, beachfront. We could see the water from the living room and lanai. We could be in the ocean in under a minute. The waves were perfect and there was no undertow. The rooms are large with a full kitchen, well stocked and a modern bathroom. The place was quiet, we assume because it's after... More

We came across Maalaea Surf Resort on Trip Advisor when searching for accommodation in the Kihei area as a good central location on Maui. What a find! Our condo was on the 1st floor, overlooking one of the pools and with great views of the bay. All of the condos are literally right on the beach. The facilities in the... More

We just came back from 1 week in maui. I don't review in Trip Advisor very often, but this place deserves it! We're a family of 4 (including a baby and a 5yr old) Maalaea Surf resort is perfect!! this was such a great finding on-line. great value and incredible location. fyi, you are ON THE BEACH. (literally!) Unless you... More

The Ma'alaea Surf Resort is a beautiful, well maintained set of condo's right on Sugar Beach, in north Kihei. No matter which unit you rent, you'll have a great view, and are only steps from the beach. We truly felt like this was our home during our 12 days on Maui. We stayed in unit E4, a 2/2 on the... Unit H5 was nicely stocked. Only real negative was that we were there during the last Olympics and their ancient tubed TV died early in our two week stay. Had to go to a pub to watch Olympic events. Beautiful beach front two bedroom unit with table and chairs on a great balcony overlooking the ocean. Nice to fall asleep... More

We stayed at the Maalaea Surf Resort every single spring for years growing up. It's a wonderful spot, great beach, nice families, and a great pool. We've hosted Easter Egg hunts, fish BBQs, and fake water ballet competitions, have read many-a-book by the pool, and have truly come to love this special spot. A great place for a quiet, relaxed... We started coming to this property based on a recommendation of a friend from BC. We have made several trips here since and would not stay anywhere else on Maui. If you are looking for a great condo with all that makes it Hawaii, this is the best. Right on the beach with 2 pools too. We love eating dinners... More

The only way you're likely to be disappointed with this property is if you crave the mega action resort type of trip. If you've been to and prefer Lahaina and the likes of the mega hotels and condos, with the associated zoo like atmosphere, then don't choose this property. Otherwise if you want a laid back and more traditional Hawaiian... More

We just had our second stay at the Maalaea Surf Resort and I don't think that we will stay any where else on Maui from now on. It is the perfect central location to get to other parts of the island. We've stayed in Kaanapali many times and liked it but you can't beat a beach or oceanfront condo at... More
