The place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay and relax while staying in maui. The owners are very adroit in impressing their guests with their service as we had nothing to show that went against a good quality stay at the place. The cottages are warm and perfect with everything properly catered... More

My husband and I stayed at Hale Ulu Lulu and at Hale Manu in September of 2014. I will begin my review with Hale Ulu Lulu as that was our first stop. This little hale was once a work house for a sugar plantation near this location. It has housed many local families., giving the property an energy that is... More

My husband and I stayed in Hale Ulu Lulu and were blown away at how cozy and perfectly decorated the house was! The owners greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The house had small signs with helpful tips on how to use everything. We drove to Hana stayed here for one night and drove back to Haiku where... More

We just left the one bedroom cottage after spending 3 nights. Driving the road to Hana round trip did not sound like a great idea and in hindsight staying in Hana was ideal. It allowed us to hike and spend a day at the beach while being able to relax. The cottage, a one bedroom house, sits on at least... More

On my third trip to Hana, I stayed at Hale Manu - The Guest Houses at Malanai, nestled amongst lush tropical vegetation, the cottage sat isolated from the main house in the 2-3 acre lot. It had a very spacious living room and kitchen with all the essential appliances and utensils. The two bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom had... More

My wife and I stayed in the Hale Ulu Lulu house for a couple of nights last week and loved it. The cottage is beautifully appointed, clean, larger than we expected, and very private. The owners are very helpful and were in touch with us upon our arrival to make sure we were settling in ok, knew where to find... More

So remote the stars in the sky are amazing! Reminds me of my childhood before development took away the brillance in the night sky. All the reviews are right! Incredible, stunning, peaceful, highlight of the trip. Not just because the decor is wonderful... but because this place changes YOU. Highly recommended. I left here to go to a resort in... More

We stayed at the one bedroom guesthouse for two nights in November. The location is spectacular, with the sunrise coming up over the ocean every morning. We had stayed at a five-star resorts the week prior, and this cottage was better than that. The ocean breeze coming through the house all day and night, and the seclusion for an unbelievable... We stayed in Hale Ulu Lulu for two nights (booked one, loved it so much we stayed a second night). The cottage was extremely well appointed and equipped with everything you could imagine to feel at home. My only advice would be to do your food shopping before the road to Hana as the options are limited in town (we... More

Beautifully designed and maintained large one bedroom cottage. A wonderful taste of old Hawaii. Far enough out of town to feel and hear the quiet, close enough to access sites and restaurants. Hope to get back before too long!
