It was the best option for a solo traveller in Maui. The nature around Bamboo Inn is fantastic. Service is good. Rooms are nice and clean. This is a very relaxing area of Maiu and I simply love it. I would definitely go back to this place, but next time with my wife. ;)

My friend and I were so relieved when we found the Bamboo Inn. The owner is very nice and very helpful. We had an ocean view upstairs with a nice kitchen so our meals were relaxing and homey in the lanai. The owner served warm bread and muffins with fresh fruit in the morning... would definitely stay again.

After spending several days in the resort-y Lahaina area, Hana was a welcome respite even if it was only for a night. So quiet, so relaxing. The studio was small and basic but had everything you need. I've decided that outdoor showers are the best thing ever--such a cool experience. We spent so much time just relaxing on the porch,... the studios themselves are simply gorgeous! beautiful wood, clean, comfortable. The owner is extremely helpful and interesting. He brings baskets of warm breads and muffins to everyone in the outdoor gazebo every morning that are out of this world! everyone should spend atleast one night in hana to really explore it and I recommend this place highly!!!!

We stayed in the Honu Suite for 2 nights over weekend of July 4th. Total relaxation! We drove to Hana via the back route and it is amazing! Our plan was to stay in Hana to get a head start on some of the attractions, but we spent all day Saturday just relaxing in the room and around the grounds.... More

John was the perfect host. Delicious breakfast of juice and hot muffins and bread. Clean room with comfortable bed, reasonably priced for the area. On the black rock beach...no sand...yes, that's correct, no sand, only black rock. Good location to spend the night after the Hana Road. Also, you CAN drive around the south-western route back to Paia and see... More

We loved our 2 night stay here. John is a wonderful host. The room had a gorgeous view and had everything we needed. (We cooked dinner one evening. We used the outdoor grill, the hot plate and toaster oven - everything worked perfectly). We loved the way that John had things set up. It was very easy to check in.... More

We were only there for one rainy night, but loved it. Great view of the ocean, nice rooms, nice service and perfect location after the windy Hana Highway. The jets on the porch hot tub didn't work, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the view.

We stayed only one night here. Our last night on Maui. I would definitely recommend this to travelers. The ocean sounds ebbing away on the rocks below. The outdoor shower. The Honu room was exceptional to end our experience that will always be with us. The morning basket was exceptionally tasty. thank you John

Hana is such a beautiful area and John at the Bamboo Inn made our trip even better, really makes sure you are well taken care of. We stayed in the studio overlooking the bay and the views were absolutely spectacular. The breakfast bowls were simple but really tasty with fresh fruit, warm croissants, muffins, butter and jam. Perfect to start... More
