My last visit to Hana Kai left me scratching my head. We've stayed at Hana Kai on 3 other occasions and had a fabulous experience. Our family rented the 2 bedroom suite in July which we have stayed in before with much success, but not this time. On 3 different occasions we did not have hot water for taking a... More

Lovely tranquil and relaxing lodge for after the long road to hana drive.. Lovely little town. We only stayed the night and left early the next morning. I like the fact there is a barbecue so for anyone staying there I recommend packing meat for a nice meal or there is a full kitchen in your room with microwave and... More

We stayed in Hana for 2 days at the Hana Kai Maui. The suites are clean and very spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to stay in a small quiet peaceful hotel after staying on hotel row in Lahaina. It backs onto a black pebble beach. It's a great location for spending time seeing the surrounding sights... We stayed here for one night w our 3 kids. Very clean and comfortable. Had a great view of black sand beach. Made dinner and breakfast in the well appointed kitchen. Loved it. Highly recommend. Stayed here 18 years ago and would happily stay again.

Stayed in the Keanini condo. About 60 yards to putting your feet in the ocean. Black rock beach. The condo does not have tv (it does have wi-fi) but the view from the lanai & the sound of the waves makes this an ideal spot to relax. Since there is limited grocery options in Hana, we stopped @ Costco after... More

Great option in hana! Much better value than the one and only hotel in Hana. Lovely views even though we had the cheapest room. Full kitchen, with glad wrap and full included which was great as we needed to pack lunch. Note, there are very few shops and good restaurants to eat out so shop before you start the hana... More

Quaint condo with fantastic views of the Ocean in a quiet setting. Clean, spacious with everything we needed for a stop over after a long road trip to Hana. The stay here totally melted away the hairy drive and stress to Hana we en-counted on the hairpin bends with sheer drops along the way!! Great value for money and well... More

After deciding to do the road to Hana over two days, the next step was finding an overnight stay that wouldn't break the bank but wasn't a dive. We found it with the Hana Kai, with its charming old Hawaiian decor and so close to the beach that you felt you could almost jump into the water from the balcony.... More

We decided to to stay overnight in Hana just to break up the 'Road to Hana" and to be able to hike the Pipiwai Trail in the morning instead of the afternoon. However, our stay in Hana turned out to be a highlight of our "Road to Hana" experience! We were underwhelmed by the drive and stops there, so we... More
