The Hana Kai Maui was truly an Oasis to break up the road to Hana and back. When my boyfriend said he wanted to do the drive this year, I reluctantly agreed (knowing how long of a day the drive makes). After having "Survived the Road to Hana" before, never again was I going to go without staying at least... More

We didn't want to do the drive from Kihei to Hana and back in one day, so we were lucky enough to find a room at Hana Kai for one night. The room, 103, was unique with louvered windows, crafted wood sliding doors, large lanai overlooking the ocean and remodeled bathroom. The setting here is absolutely magical with waves crashing... We decided that instead of trying to do the Road to Hana all in one day we would spend a couple days in Hana so we could take our time and see more. I'm so glad we did! This is a beautiful place to stay. We were in unit 202. It was very nice and very comfortable. The view from... More

We stayed 3 nights in unit #1 after being on the west cost of Maui for 7 nights. I was so happy to be out of that over crowded and over built side of the island. Hana was spectacular! Quiet, peaceful, very laid back an mostly beautiful No night life, but that was okay with us we didn't want any... More

My husband and I stayed in Studio 102 for two nights after driving The Road to Hana. The property is well maintained and the photos on-line are totally accurate. The bed was comfortable, the unit very clean. The humidity was fairly high while we were there and there is no A/C. However, there is a ceiling fan and also a... More

Stayed here for 1 night on our last trip to Maui while we were exploring Hana & the the back of Haleakala. We had an incredibly peaceful time at the Hana Kai. We stayed in Unit #203 Lanakila. It was beautifully decorated and felt very homey. we spent most of out time sitting on the lanai watching the waves of... More

We stayed for 3 nights and wish we stayed longer! It is so peaceful and beautiful with so many places to explore. The Red Sands beach is a must see! Do not miss it! Also, go to the black sands beach and do the hike around. Absolutely stunning views!

Lovely stay! Excellent service and friendly staff. Beautiful breakfast too!! Rooms were clean and spacious. Sheets were so soft! The kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a lovely place to be but be mindful that Hana is a very small town with few supplies!

I spent Christmas 2014 here at room 106 to split the Road to Hana into 2 days and had one of the most peaceful sleep I had in years, with the sound of the wind and waves crashing into Hana Bay. Tastefully decorated room and clean bedsheets, ocean views from the lanai, and even their own line of refreshing coconut-based... More

we had a lovely two nights in hana at this charming little hotel - we were lucky to have a room right on the water and the big windows make you feel that the beach is all around you. It was great to stay a couple of days and get to know this side of the island, and to be... More
