The Hotel Hana-Maui is a beautiful facility. Our stay was for two nights Our room, a bay cottage, was in good condition, clean, a very large. Large bar area w/ sink, dining table with room for four, sitting area with a sofa, two chairs and coffee table, writing desk. King size comfortable bed. (with all this space, I was looking... More

I really struggled with which rating to put for my experience at the HHM. Positive things first, and there were so many positives, the absolutely fragrant Lei greeting and American Express upgrade upon check-in to start. The half-cottage we stayed in was nicely appointed, simple but tasetfully done. Traditional Hawaiian feel as many of the other reviews have mentioned. We... More

I had made a reservation at this hotel prior to my arrival. Upon learning of an extreme family medical emergency, I requested a cancellation. These people had the nerve to request a Doctors Note in order to cancel my reservation. I would never ever stay at this place if there service is anywhere near the service I received.

This resort had cottages, some of which are single cottages. Ours was a "junior cottage," which was half of a cottage. There is no air conditioning, but there are overhead fans and tons of windows. The doors to the deck are outfitted with a large screen sliding door, so you can get plenty of air, and the ocean is not... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Hana-Maui for 4 nights at the very end of September/beginning of October as the second half of our honeymoon (first 3 nights were at the Royal Lahina, for which I've also posted a review). We booked through the Small Luxury Hotels website (if you register for their club you get a complimentary upgrade... More

Biras Creek,Little Dix Bay, Kona Village, PSV and now Hotel Hana Maui!!!!! Life is Goooooood! My wife,16 year old daughter, and I spent 6 glorious nights in Hana. We were not bored. The quiet was wonderful and the feeling of peace pervasive. The people were friendly , warm and welcoming. Stephen told us about the food booths at the softball games... More

My girlfriend and I went to Maui for the first time a few weeks ago. We started our stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea and while we loved the Kea Lani (and our partial ocean view suite), it was nothing compared to the beauty and tranquility of Hana and, more specifically, the Hana Hotel. We are very thankful... More

This is one of those very special hotels that goes up the extra step from "excellent" to "magical." We stayed here last week, and we were so sad to leave! It is so beautiful and quiet, and the people there are so nice. We stayed in the "junior suite" area which didn't overlook the ocean, but was still very lovely.... More

Hoatel Hana Maui is paradise. My family of five stayed there for three nights in August of 2007, in 2 connecting garden view rooms. Wonderful grounds with only 69 rooms. Wonderful spa and facilities (although that's not why we went), and lots to do. The pace is slow and perfect, with no clocks, radios or TVs. Service is impecable, with... More

after the Hana road experience this place is just the perfect place to process the " real Hawaii". Hana Maui hotel is one of the best places I have ever stayed. I am not big on the big, busy hotel scenes. This place is a low key, friendly small hotel that is staffed and run by mostly locals from Hana... More
