The best decision we made on our trip to Maui was to ditch the tourist locale of Lahaina for the hidden paradise of Travassa Hana. What an amazing decision that was! This resort is pure paradise and is exactly what we wanted out of our experience in Maui. It is authentic Hawaii in a tropical jungle braced with breathtaking ocean... More

Be Careful at The Travaasa Hotel Hana and try to keep track of what day it is - you will easily forget the daily nonsense we may normally deal with while staying at this lovely resort! Over-exceeded all expectations except for one - we had to leave..... Highly recommended!

If you make all of the suggested stops along the way, it makes perfect sense to stay over an enjoy an amazing property - Travassa. The dinning room and menu looked fantastic, but we wanted a more simple fare, so we walked across the road to the Ranch Restaurant, which fit the bill. We took advantage of the infinity pool... My husband and I had an amazing time in Hana. It was our first stop in Maui (Paia and Lahaina afterwards). It was the perfect place to disconnect from our world back home, and get the vacation started right! If you want to see authentic Hawaii, take the road to Hana and see for yourself. It was our favorite stop.... More

The Polynesian Tours out of Maui gave us this beautiful restaurant to have our lunch. We had a view of the water while we ate a very tasty chicken, rice, green salad and fruit salad. The Kauiki Dining Room was gorgeous but we were put in the Paniolo Lounge/restaurant which was an open air dining room. We had a great... More

Arriving on the evening plane to Maui, (Monday 4th May) we had advised the hotel in advance that we would be getting to the hotel late. They were good about checking us in and parking our car and driving us to our room. As it was our honeymoon (6 nights), we had made enquiries in advance and had been told... More

We wanted to spend one night in Hana before driving back, so that we could enjoy a leisure drive both directions. Many of the hotels require a two night stay, but we didn't want to spend two nights in Hana! That's why we chose Travaasa, since they allowed a one night stay. One thing that I would mention is that... More

After 52 miles 49 one lane bridges and 620 turns that probably have made drivers themselves car sick, and after swimming in every visible rock pools by the force of nature, to and fro, around and behind every singing waterfalls, trekking in the finest sands blackest rocks and the most crystal clear water -- Travaasa was the best thing we... I have been wanting to stay here since my first trip to Maui 12 years ago. It was the Hotel Hana Maui back then. I could never afford it 12 years ago, but with plans to be on Maui and wanting to drive the Road to Hana and then around the southeast side of the island we decided to spend... More

We had 8 family members staying the Family Suite. The suite is awesome. Nice kitchen with a big family room with TV. Wifi worked great. There were plenty of beds for us, 2 slept on the huge sectional sofa. We had the use of a washer/dryer about 10 steps outside our suite. Staff was helpful and brought us everything we... More
