My daughter and I spent three nights at Travaasa Hana. Our experience was consistent with other reviewers. The rooms and pools are tired and need a facelift. The staff was the best part of our trip. Hands down, every person we met, whether in the dining room, concierge, bell staff, etc., were among the kindest, most helpful, engaging people we... More

Just spent two nights here and loved it! We hiked the Pipiwai trail early and got to the waterfall before the crowds. want to swim at The pools at the national park but they were closed due to some heavy rains the night before. We got back to the hotel pool and enjoyed a lazy afternoon swimming and dunking in... More

The road to Hana is a great adventure, complete with one lane bridges, wonderful waterfalls, and rewarding hikes. But it does require a bit of energy. Travaasa Hotel in Hana is a great place to spend a night or two. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed eating in the Travaasa's... Beautiful property in a very calm setting. Awesome views of the ocean and a gorgeous pool area over looking the sea. We got a garden room which was spacious with a nice sitting area outside. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was great. We are vegetarians and were really glad to have found good options. Food is a very important... More

If you are looking to truly get away from it all, the Travaasa Hotel in Hana is the perfect place to go! The setting is spectacular and so centrally located to all of the major attractions in Hana town, once you get to Hana, you want to stay awhile, but when you get to Travaasa, you will never want to leave!!... We stayed at Travaasa Hana for 3 nights. Our friends we were traveling with, opted to stay at a less expensive location. We booked the garden view for a splurge but were thrilled to be upgraded to the Sea Cottage. Our view was fantastic, the grounds were serene and beautiful. We knew beforehand that there were no TV's which is... More

The view of the sunrise from our seaside cottage was hands down my favorite part our our week-and-a-half trip to Maui. But it came with a steep price tag. The check in process was pretty simple and pleasant, though they did laugh at us (playfully) for having a couple bags of groceries for a one night stay. (We didn't know... More

My adult daughters and I could not wait to stay at Travaasa. We seldom venture to Hana, and when we do, we drive back to Wailea where our house is located. This was to be special: A bamboo forest hike followed by a splurge-stay at Travaasa. When I made the initial reservation, I was shocked by the $600 price and... More

I stayed at the Travaasa Hana Hotel for 3 nights approximately 2 weeks ago and it was wonderful. First, the Road to Hana itself is a great drive. Don't let what you read online or in books scare you. As long as you drive cautiously, you'll be fine. The road was recently repaved so it's a smooth trip with a... More

I'd been recommended Travaasa Hana by the company putting together my itinerary. It sounded great; two nights in a Sean Ranch Cottage overlooking the ocean. The cost was very high per night, but it's not every day you travel around Hawaii, so I thought 'what the hell'. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. The photos on the website... More
