I agree with most of the points made by recent reviewer Hywel Morgan. The grounds are lovely and the resort has a very nice relaxed vibe. However, we stayed in a Garden Suite and it was tired, dirty and unbearably hot with no AC. Because of the condition of the rooms, the property is not good value (but there are... More

We stayed at the Hana Travaasa for 2 nights in October 2014 in one of their Garden Rooms. We had a lovely stay but I struggle to see how the Travaasa can justify it's high charges beyond there being a lack of competition in such a beautiful area. Pros + cons are: Pros - Hana is a beautiful town/area combining... More

My wife and I spent a few days at the Travassa Hana on our honeymoon at the end of September. After a couple days, I did not want to leave. I could have easily stayed another week, or more. First, I see some people were complaining about the lack of A/C. Yes, it was a problem, but we were there... More

My husband and I have been coming to this hotel since 1999 and have been here 10 times. We miss the original Hotel Hana Maui (now the Travaasa Hana) but the new owners seem to to be settling in a bit and learning what makes this hotel and Hana itself so special. They are also in the process of renovating... More

Greeted promptly upon arrival, friendly staff, nice property, somewhat dated, I could take almost anything but no air conditioner ? Yikes, we woke up sweating, very uncomfortable . Beds were springy and bouncy, uncomfortable as well. Would we stay there again, uh, no.

We stayed at the Travaasa for our 25th Anniversary for two nights the last week of Sept. We loved everything about the place, the tranquility, the beauty, the room, the staff, the Spa- all exceptional. We chose to stay here so we could easily hike that side of the island and not have to endure the return trip in the... More

We stayed in Hana two nights so that we could enjoy the national park and not have to drive the winding road twice in one day. The Travaasa hotel is a serene place in the lush environs of Hana. However, we thought it was incredibly pricey for what you get particularly if you get stuck in the garden area. There... More

Our experience at the Travaasa Hana was absolutely perfect. The rooms and sea cottages are amazingly spacious with gorgeous views and decks that overlook the coast. The property is quaint and charming and you never feel crowded. The food is delicious and the spa was the perfect relaxing experience. We will 100% be back!

My husband's favourite hotel from our Hawaiian trip - and not just because they taught him how to paddle board successfully. We had a very overdue and fraught flight from Kauai meaning that we had to tackle the challenging Hana Highway in the dark. This is not recommended, however, no one else is silly enough to do it so you... More

We stayed at Travaasa Hana for our honeymoon. We received a lei greeting on arrival. Our room had an incredible view of the ocean and impeccably landscaped grounds. When entering our room we noticed a beautifully handwritten note congratulating us on our recent wedding. We were given a bottle of complimentary champagne and a loaf of delicious banana bread. Now... More
