No doubts, it is a beautiful hotel created by people with taste. The architecture of the cottages (Sea or Garden) is perfectly integrated into the environment. Inside the cottages, you can notice details of good taste. No doubts, a place with a lot of charm. You are greeted by people with are very friendly and spontaneous, but then you go... More

What a great place to stay at.i loved the sea ranch cottages and their restaurant. It's best to get the cottages with an ocean view, relax, and enjoy! We didn't see many other people the entire time, but could easily find other people during the magnificent sunrises each day. I loved the people, the attractions, things to do and the... More

What a lovely place! After braving the road to Hana, we arrived to a warm and gentle greeting and were escorted via golf cart to our room overlooking the ocean. The so called Sea Cottages are pricey but worth it if you can. Rooms were 70-80's vintage and furnishing a bit worn out but the room was spacious reasonably clean... More

We've lived on Maui for 18 yrs and finally had the chance to stay in Hana. I'm so glad we stayed at the Travaasa. It felt like the old Hawaii I experienced back in 1973, with big rooms, great food, very friendly staff, lots of grounds to walk-on, and great ocean views! There was a storm while we were there... Travaasa exceeded all expectations. We arrived early, without notice-we were greeted with warm and friendly smiles and were swiftly checked into our room. The grounds are so beautiful and tranquil. There are daily shuttles to the beach, although tearing yourself away from the pool is challenging (I will say that it is a shame the beach isn't walking distance) If... More

The grounds and setting are lovely and peaceful, and the friendly welcome by the desk staff is especially nice after the long drive to Hana. Our garden cottage was spacious, but he furniture and fixtures were old and worn (forgivable) and not very clean (not forgivable). Housekeeping staff needs a serious shakeup. And the pool, while pretty, is completely unstaffed... More

My family lives on Maui and traveled to Hana for my sons high school basketball games. The hotel was incredibly peaceful, beautiful and the staff demonstrated the true meaning of ALOHA. My husband & I enjoyed the Art Gallery, watching the whales from our lanai in the morning while we drank coffee, tea and ate the amazing banana bread left... More

What a beautiful perfect location. Highly recommend to stay in Hana instead of a one day round trip on the road. The hotel layout, pools, and grounds are lovely. The staff is wonderful and always friendly and helpful. The rooms however need work. After talking to a couple of locals we learned that since travaasa took over the hotel they... More

The check in process was easy as we were greeted with a kukui nut lei and fruit juice … very nice touch! They quietly and respectfully checked us in, valet the car and delivered us along with bags to our room. This hotel is non-tipping. I'm told the tip is included in the room rate and you don't tip anyone... More

My wife and I just returned from our second stay at Travaasa Hana. We were enchanted a year ago and no less this time. This place is not for everybody. Not all will appreciate the lack of TV and radio but who cares in this paradise. Eating selections are few; we had the best meals at the local food trucks,... More
