We stayed here 2 weeks and it was GREAT! Wonderful bird songs in the mornings, great breakfasts on our door step and a patio to enjoy them, and beautiful landscaping. A real hidden treasure in the Upcountry of Maui. Benni was a great Host!

We stayed at the Meadow Cottage which became a lovely retreat for the four of us. The house is well set up, clean, and very cozy. We each found a perfect spot in the living area to laze in, from the daybed, couch and chairs, to the breakfast "nook" area. The beds were all very comfortable, and there is the... More

If you're looking for a place a bit off the beaten path from the usual touristy Maui, like I was, look no further. This is the place! I stayed for 15 nights at the Meadow Cottage, and now all of my friends want to come and stay too! I took a lot of photos and put them on my facebook... More

We stayed four nights in the Bamboo Suite and found this cottage to be comfortable and clean. There is a new bed with high quality bedding and shades on the windows. The main house is a beautiful example of a plantation house and the grounds are well kept and pleasant. There are lots of birds and plants around the property.... More

I've been to Maui many times. Never has my stay been more enjoyable. We came to Maui to visit our son and daughter-in-law who live in Makawao. It was so enjoyable to be staying in Haiku away from the "touristy" parts of Maui. The Meadow Cottage was a perfect retreat for us. The accommodations were beautiful, with an amazingly comfy... More

This was the perfect way to start our honeymoon! We really appreciated the quite and solitude the cannery inn provided. Haiku was a quaint little town, very different from the rest of the island, and was easily in reach of things we would want (good food, beaches, day trips, stores, etc.) We stayed in the 'Bamboo Suite' for 5 days... We were so fortunate to get the Bamboo Suite, which is actually an adorable little cottage, complety private, situated in its own jungle! (That's the feel you get here) Our stay was for three nights and we were longing for at least one more as we did not want to leave this lovely place! Benni is the most wonderful host... More

Thank you for the very kind review. I do want to let you know that the wild rooster who was living in our gulch has been removed and there are no rooster crows to disturb (or charm) our guests. For some reason the number of wild roosters on Maui has been increasing in the last few years. But at least... More

Words can't described how much my family and I enjoyed staying at the Meadow Cottage. It was a great place to come home to after a day of sightseeing. It's off the beaten path but ideally located most places. A great place to get away from it all. Marc & Ally are wonderful hosts who thought of everything. It's clean... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Bamboo Suite and overall had a very good stay. For this leg of our trip we were really looking for somewhere clean and affordable to crash and shower during upcountry adventures. The surroundings are beautiful. Bring earplugs and eye mask if you are a light sleeper- it is loud in the jungle at... More

I loved the location, historic aspect of the house, beautiful grounds, and artistic decor. Most of all, I loved Ms. Benni. I told her I'd like to talk to her about the island because we had just flown in and we had never been to Maui. She was very accommodating--talked to us a long time about things to see and... More
