We recently visited the Hotel Lanai and Cottages and were very pleased with our accomodations, we stayed in the cottage, the pleasant, helpful staff and the on site resturant. Located in Lanai City, this hotel was centrally located within walking distance of most stores and eating establishments. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful, responding quickly to our every request.... more

The Hotel Lanai and the Lanai Grill inside this small botique hotel are both top-notch. If you want the pampered life at Koele Lodge or Manele Bay that's great, but if you want a laid back, care-free, Hawaii-style stay the Hotel Lanai is the place. The rooms (fewer than 10 I believe) were recently remodeled and are very clean and... more

We were intrigued by this small island, and booked two days at the Hotel Lanai. As advertised, it's small, was built in the 1920's, and still retains that charm and atmosphere while providing modern convenience. Our room was clean and comfortable; I'd recommend spending the few extra dollars for a lanai (porch). We were in room 9. The restaurant was... more

All in all, my husband and I love Hawaii, this was our 3rd trip and we plan to return but we will NOT be visiting Lanai again. This trip, my husband and I visited 4 of the Hawaiian Islands and spent a total of 15 nights. When we started to plan our trip we only intended to stay in Lanai... more

This is my second stay at the hotel . The first time we stayed in the cottage and really enjoyed it . The last trip I stayed in room 9 and was perfectly happy . Great complemenary light breakfast in the morning . I had the best dinner I've ever had on any of the islands . You must try... more

Having moved to Lanai recently and seen that there are not too many options for dining, excluding both Four Seasons Properties, there is Hotel Lanai which provide really nice food. Good selection of ingrediance, the menu is appealing and changes regularly. The selection of drinks is really appealing too. All staff are extreamly friendly and very polite. Nice place to... more

We stayed at the Hotel Lanai 10/5 to 10/8/08 during part of a three week visit to the islands. After doing extensive research we opted for the "Keepers cottage" at the hotel. It is a small cottage not attached to the hotel itself and mostly hidden from view by the landscaping (Just to the left of the main part of... more

Anyone thinking of staying here should remember, this is not a resort. If you're looking for a resort, there's the Four Seasons near the ferry landing. This is a plantation style building adapted to an Inn. Rooms are basic and the lack of TV is a refreshing break; it makes it easier to get away from it all. The staff... more

My wife and I recently stayed at hotel lanai and found it dirty and unfriendly. The new owners have allot to learn about the hotel restaurant business. The food was not as good as we heard it was going to be. maybe because the chef does not live on Lanai...I think she lives on maui but who knows..... more attention... more
