Staying at Hotel Lanai reminded us a little of being in northern Michigan, just a little. It's situated in the uplands of the island amongst the pine trees. Not your typical Hawaiian beach resort, but we loved it. We choose to stay at what they call the cottage room. It is a very lovely little cottage, with a very nice... More

My husband and I stayed in the cottage at Hotel Lanai recently and would like to give an honest review of a hotel we very much enjoyed, but was different than what we'd expected having read reviews and done research online. A few of our observations to assist with your travel plans: PROS - this hotel is ADORABLE and has... More

Our charming and soothing room - the perfect place to end a peaceful day on the island of lanai ! Staff made us feel at home throughout our too short stay. Loved waking up to the quiet sounds of this a Hawaiian oasis with coffee on 'our porch' ! The Resturant was a surprise pleasure. This island is subtle in... More

I loved this hotel. It has a lot of character. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at he restaurant was excellent, if a bit pricey. We enjoyed our stay. My son and daughter-in-law had a suite that was set off a bit with a great place for the family to gather.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Hotel Lanai and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Lanai. We rented the cottage and if it is available would recommend spending the little extra to get it. It is clean and had everything we needed. You are set off from the other rooms so it was fairly quiet. The best part... More

I must be honest, my husband and I were disappointed and thought the hotel was over priced for what we received. If we return we would rent a B&B or stay at one of the resorts, hands down. The 1920 hotel is a historical building, which appealed to me, but I've listed the pros and cons to help you decide... More

Had 4 nights at the hotel 2couples occupying rooms 1&2 which share the common veranda. Rooms are comfortable no phones or TV but free with-fi. Fridge in the closet. Bathrooms are compact but water was always hot. Staff extremely friendly and happy to answer questions and provide suggestions. Hotel supplied beach towels, flippers snorkels and face masks.Continental breakfast adequate however... More

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner. After checking in we were escorted to the "cottage" ,our room for the next three nights. The room had a tv and a queen bed with updated bath. Very comfortable. They serve a continental breakfast. The town has several nice shops including a couple restaurants and markets. The town is only... More

All the way around fantastic!! Very pleased that we chose to stay here. The grounds are lovely and set in the pines at the top of the little town. A historic building, you really feel like you are family as you cozy up to your neighbors on joint lanais and have a fantastic continental breakfast together (think family style bed... More

There are two Four Seasons resorts on the Isle of Lanai, great hotels...but I wouldn't choose either over the Hotel Lanai. The owners and staff are super friendly. The on-site restaurant: superb. This is the place the locals go to celebrate special occasions, and rightly so. There is a fun little bar, a great wine list and a menu to... More
