The rooms at the Inn Waimea are perfectly located for Canyon hiking and Polihale surfing. Patrick is very accommodating and there is much attention to detail. It's excellent value for the money and I will return again.

This small guesthouse sits just off the main highway in Waimea, on the Southwest coast of Kauai. It is very convenient to the Waimea Valley, but a bit of a drive if you want to go to the Na Pali coast. With only four rooms, it is a very quiet and relaxing option for any length of stay. The exterior... More

Thanks for the feedback and even better to hear that you had the chance to see multiple rooms! It sounds as if he stayed in the Taro Room and the Banana Suite. The Banana Suite is the only unit with a tub. I'll look into the quality of "Bubbles" in the two person Jacuzzi tub- sorry to say that we... More

I recently stayed at the Inn Waimea and rented the beachfront cabin. We had a very warm, friendly greeting by the manager. The cabin was spotless! Both bedrooms had air conditioners, but we didn't need them as the open windows allowed the ocean breeze to blow through. From the Inn, you can be on the beach in literally 20 seconds.... More

Thanks Doug and glad to hear you had a great time! For the record, the unit he was in was the "Beach Cottage" and is one lot back from the beach. On our projects list is to someday remodel so it can realize its potential and ocean views. It is a great affordable and well located cottage. Mahalo! More

The location is wonderful, the old building has lots of charm, but it could really use a good updating. The carpet was very shabby, the shower wasn't very clean, and there was a fair amount of dust in the room. One window had no blind on it. It wasn't filthy or anything... just needs a really good going over.

Thanks for the feedback and I will look into this. As I'm sure with any Historic Property, we have a long list of desired purchases and upgrades. First for us was to get the exterior to be the attractive feature it deserves. We have now accomplished this! We are making great progress and will continue to upgrade the property in... More

The innkeeper, Lorraine, moved us to the Beach Cottage (for no extra charge) from the regular room we had booked because bagpipers had taken over the main house, and she wanted us to have a more romantic experience :) The cottage was sweet, and it was great fun watching the resident chickens in the yard. We cooked breakfasts and dinners... More

Nice cosey inn on the west side of Kauai. Only 1:06 mins to walk to the beach. Historic, quiet town, everything close by. Wife and I stayed here 4 nights, while I was on a business trip. One suggestion is to have daily housekeeping and ear plugs for the chickens. On Kauai it takes about a day to get used... More

Thanks RileyZ71 for your feedback. I am Patrick, the new Manager of the Inn Waimea as of Feb '14. We have been working hard to give the Inn Waimea the "Polish" it deserves. We have accomplished many things; some of the biggest being painting of the exterior and removal of chickens! With a fresh paint job the outside now looks... More

The Inn Waimea is my "go to" place to stay while visiting family in my hometown of Waimea Kauai. It is convinient for those who stay on the west side and is clean, comfortable and affordable. It's quite at night, and a cool breeze usually blows though the open windows. Coffee bar, and refrigerator come in handy.

If you are looking for a quiet, off the beaten track place to stay, this is it. We stayed in the Banana Suite. Nice, clean, going to sleep listening to the sound of the waves (500 feet away) and wake to the sound of chickens (they are all over Kauai). It isn't a tourist trap or resort. Just a nice,... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Inn Waimea, in the Hibiscus Suite, and loved it. The inn is just 4 rooms. The furniture was a bit dated but it was very cute and comfortable overall. Our room was quite large for the price. The bedroom had a queen bed and was a nice size. We also had... More

We just checked out of Inn Waimea and we had a wonderful stay there. It's a charming, old-style inn in down-home Waimea with just four rooms. The broad lanai always had a comfortable breeze blowing gently through -- it's a great place to relax and enjoy the day. We stayed in the Bamboo Suite (upstairs, ocean-side with a view and... More
