We stayed five people, my brother's family and my boyfriend and myself in number #31 over the new year, and my parents stayed in #64. The place has so much charm and character, and all the nuances that contribute to an "authentic stay" including wild chickens that my niece never tired of chasing. Having the option to cook was awesome,... More

We stayed in one of the smaller cottages (#46 I think) over Christmas 2011. Loved every minute of it. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the cottages, which all seem to be different, are full of old world charm. The pool area is nice, with lovely views of the gardens and sea, and didn't get crowded, plus you're right on... More

We have been to WPC several times, always with family and always loved it there. No better way to enjoy Kauai without all the tourism traffic, etc. The brewpub on the grounds (and Grove Cafe) is fun too. Close to good attractions, but still "down home" Aloha. Check out their website and give them a call. While it's an Aston... More

We came to Waimea for our Honeymoon April 2010. It was our home away from home for a week they were very nice and accomodating and would love to come back some day. There are pet cats that love to be fed so be prepared with some moist cat food and they will be your friends for the whole stay.... More

We stayed in a rustic cottage close to the beach – being ‘walk ins’ we had to take what was available but were allocated a 2 bedroom cottage for the price of a one bedroom. It was well maintained and equipped for anything. The area was very quiet (as were our neighbours) – lovely to lie in the king size... More

Spending one week at the "Waimea Plantation Cottages" was our ultimate holiday experience on Kauai. Our aim was to relax, enjoy vacation, see and explore Kauai and charging the batteries. We got a very cosy cottage at the northern end of the hotel area. The cottage had with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining room, two patios with... More

We only stayed for two nights but there was a full kitchen and BBQ that would have come in handy if we stayed longer. Location was great from the Waimea canyon and nearby beaches. A very unique place to stay and quite different from the other hotels on this trip. Would definitely recommend it just for historic value alone.

We were excited to stay here as part of a long trip around the States after we were married, but unfortunately it was quite a disappointment. Our cottage had only the most basic, bare-bones necessities (despite that we got an upgrade to a "better" one), and it felt rather like being at summer camp. It could use better lighting, decor,... Waimea Plantation Cottages is not a lot things. It's not a large, impersonal resort. It doesn't have room service. It's not located in a bustling, busy area. It's not your average hotel resort Located on the west coast of Kaua'i, Waimea Plantation Cottages is an experience. The one, two, and three bedroom restored sugar plantation cottages are quaint, fully stocked,... More

We selected this condo resort because in was at the interior highway to the spectacular Waimea canyon (nice easy 2 lane road - don't be reluctant to make the 2 hour drive). 54 individual 2 bedroom cottages on 27 acres on the ocean beach shore - most of them not adjacent to the beach but deftly planned for a view...
