Kokee Lodge is basic and cheap, yet comfortable and clean - perfect for our family. The location is perfect for exploring the Waimea Canyon and surrounds, the staff are friendly and helpful and the cabins have everything you need. It seems to have been neglected in the past but the new management are doing a fine job and we would... More

All was well, except that the mold in the cabin caused my wife and me respiratory distress. I am not usually prone to this sort of problem... I don't suffer from allergies but the air was thick with spores... We considered abandoning the cabin but did not; perhaps we should have. The smell was noxious; we awoke the next morning... More

We stayed their Duplex lodge for 4 nights. Although this lodge looked rusty, we satisfied with fairly clean room, clean cookwares & dishes, towels, etc. It got colder then we expected at night, we used blankets from extra beds. I recommend to bring warm clothing and sleep ware if you don't want to burn woods all night. (There were some... More

I stayed 2 nights up in one of the Kokee cabins, it is basic but was the ideal location to get up early, see the beauty, enjoy all the trails around and have your own space to stay. The ladies in the museum were very helpful with all the questions about which hike to do. It does get cold at... More

My fiance and I stayed in one of the cedar cabins and had a wonderful time. We were so happy we chose this place! The mountain setting was amazing, and the star gazing was some of the best we've ever seen. The low at night was about 57 in December, but you get to sit on the couch next to... More

The photo shown is not of the Lodge. It is of the cabins. The restaurant is top-notch. The food is excellent but it is the staff that really shines! It may be raining outside but their warm smiles and friendly service will surely brighten your day. The museum is something that you don't want to miss. The surroundings are beautiful,... More

We stopped here for lunch today at the top of Waimea Canyon. We both ordered the Kahlua pork lunch plate. The restaurant was clean and well staffed. We received our order reasonably fast and we're pleased with the meal. We give it. 7 on a scale of 10. I had seen they had served another table a large piece of... More

Best veggie sandwich at a remote part of Kauai. Even on their worst day with a dead grill and getting new kitchen equipment installed they managed to serve us with the most delicious and well arranged veggie sandwich. Their yummy corn bread is so fluffy and satisfying to eat.

I picked this place for the convenience of being at the Waimea Canyon as we wanted to spend a good full day exploring the area. We flew in from Oklahoma and arrived in Waimea town just before sunset to get the key. We stuck around to watch the sun set and headed up in the dark. Found everything fine after... More

Went up for a weekend getaway. ...we do live here on Kauai and wanted to go camping. We stayed at the cabins and completely enjoyed ourselves. The drive up is amazing with 3 scenic overlooks to enjoy....all we needed to pack was food and clothing. ...they provided everything else, including fire wood (and it was chilly for us). We went...
