It's hard to write this review without running to the bathroom to throw up. I'm going to be kind and only post a pic of the building not the interior. My 9 year old daughter burst into tears. $160 a night? We only stayed because we wanted an early start on the hike we planned. Oh, and if you decide... More

Mahalo PJAMAM for your feedback and while we always search for good reviews, you certainly made us laugh with your colorful descriptions! The reason I am not more embarrassed is that my group, West Kauai Lodging, is the new management organization that has been engaged since Monday, August 17th, 2015. We have decades of accommodations/resort management experience and construction/maintenance experience.... More

We are avid backpackers and don't mind roughing it, but this place was terrible. The beds and pillows were covered in black mold and incredibly uncomfortable (we barely slept all night between the ancient rock hard bed that had a huge sink hole in the middle and sneezing from mold). They provide one old blanket for each bed, not enough... More

We loved it. It was nice to have a warm fire on a chili night. The bed was comfy. Not sure why they cut down that huge trees behind the cabin though. It must have been 300 years old. The coffee pot did not work. Other wise it was a nice stay in a beautiful place for a good price.

Beds were honestly so disgusting. At the price charged, they have put nothing into the upkeep. It was very dirty. Utensils were gross...so disappointing. We are tent campers so we are not picky. But it was very bad. The mattresses were so filthy. :(

This is not a five star resort on the beach. You're in the mountains and everything was functional if not a little dirty. Very humid. Staff was not the friendliest although it was new years day to be fair.

About half-way between the canyon lookout and mountain top/Waialeale, the "lodge" is part of a small complex that includes a museum of sorts. The food on offer was not impressive - non-descript sandwiches and soups/chili that might have started life inside of a can. So you can stop by and say you've been there, perhaps by a T-shirt, but it... More

I have lived on Kauai for twelve years and stayed in cabins years before. We booked this for my birthday and the only thing that was available was the duplex. We walked in to one of the worst places I have ever seen. EVER. Everything was moldy and dirty and That is saying A LOT coming from someone who has... More

We stayed two nights with a baby and a kids. Everything was dirty. The matress were mouldy. Juste one knife without handle. A really bad experience. Shower and toilet were horrible. The photo on kokee state park web site don't reflect reallity.

We stayed in Ohe Ohe cabin 2 nights--and were lucky we were in that one because it actually has a stove. That helped us keep things warm the first night because of the one thing that has me taking a star off of the review. The cabins have wood burning stoves, and I had called ahead to let them know... Picture an old cabin in a beautiful woodland forest. Quiet, except for the ever-present roosters. This is a wonderful place to stay on your way to kalalau lookout and Pihae trail. Then you don't have to drive up Wines canyon toad in the morning, and can be at the lookout bright and early, before the clouds come in and spoil... More
