We paid Four Season prices and expected a top notch hotel. We got to the room after playing golf, and we were grossed out. Went to the desk to see another room, which was the same, so we decided to rebook and hop a flight to another island the next day. Hotel staff was helpful, and our disappointment did not... more

We did not stay at this hotel - just went to the luau. The property was beautiful, and I would highly recommend going to a bar, to watch the sunset from one of their great bars/restaurants. The price tag is pretty hefty, I'm not sure I would pay so much to stay here - but if you can afford it... more

Kauai was one of the most amazing places that I have been and the Princeville enhaced this trip. It is getting ready to be renovated into a St. Regis hotel; therefore occasionally there are some glitches, but the location, service, concierge, and adventures on the North Shore far outweigh any small issues with the hotel. Our room had the most... more

We just returned from our 5 day stay at the Princeville Resort, and it was just Great. I had read some other reviews about the hotel and i just want to say that they were incorrect. The hotel and all the common areas were very well kept. The room was clean and very spacious. The service was above average. The... more

We booked 4 nights at this hotel and left after one night. We actually wanted to leave before our first night but could not since we had to go thru our travel agent and it happened to be Sunday. We arrived early, 1:30pm so our room was not available which we understood. They took our cell number and said they... more

We stayed three nights at the Princeville (after 3 in the southern part of the island) and it is one of the most amazing views from a hotel room that I have ever seen. That, however, was the best thing about the hotel (but it's a view worth seeing even if you don't stay there). My travel partner and myself... more

We stayed here on our last night and wished we'd stayed the whole week. We got a special deal through the hotels website which included an automatic upgrade to an ocean view room. We arrived early - 10am - but no problem, they had a room ready for us. The room was just lovely (okay, the woodwork was a little... more

We stayed here on our last night of our stay in Kauai as a gift to ourselves. It was truely a nice stay. Enjoyed the whole property. Staff is friendly, clean large rooms and hotel and grounds are great. Bathroom was large with a jacuzzi tub. Huge window with screen that opens. The lobby living room was great to relax... more

My advise is do NOT book the Princeville Resort! I give the room 2 stars! MOLD on the lampshades, broken fridge ( not only in our honeymoon room, but also our wedding guests rooms! And when I say broken, I mean the door was off the hinges and did not get cold at all.) Rust on the fixtures! Now, about... more

We absolutely loved our week-long stay at the Princeville. I was worried after reading some reviews on this site stating that the hotel is worn and was concerned sevice may be lacking due to the impending renovation. But the hotel and its location are great. We had an amazing oceanfront room with views of the beach, mountains, and a waterfall.... more
