My partner and I stayed here with my sister and her boyfriend and one other friend in July. We were in kauai to attend a wedding at the st Regis hotel. The view from our apartment was just stunning!! So nice to sit on the balcony in the morning and look out over the ocean. Just amazing. The pool was... More

Thank you very much for your review. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the property. I hope that the wedding went well. You were here in a very hot period of the year, and there were definitely a few days where the tradewinds had died down a bit. I'm sorry that the rooms were a bit humid. Generally,... More

Very pleased with the accommodations at this rental. Even the 2nd bedroom was very large with two full size beds. Had everything you would need if you decide to eat in one night. Very quiet, except for the occasional rooster crowing in the morning. Be warned, there is no air conditioning, which we were concerned about, but after the first... More

Pros: The units have views that range from spectacular to awesomely spectacular. The 2 bedroom units are large, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. We had a few very minor maintenance issues that were promptly corrected. Cons: The sales/welcoming staff are aggressive about pushing Wyndham products/presentation. They hold you hostage on check-in not wanting to give you the parking pass until you... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. I found your review a fair assessment of the property. It does have stunning views and is difficult to compare with any on the island. We are happy you enjoyed your stay, and while there is no Air Conditioning in the units, In general, the units remain comfortable with the in-room ceiling fans... More

We stayed here from August 8 thru August 15th. We arrived about the same time Hurricane Iselle hit the island of Kauai. It was about an hour drive from Lihue airport to Princeville, and we encountered some strong gusts of wind and heavy rain but nothing really serious. We checked in at Ka 'eo Kai, and John who was behind... More

We just returned from this vacation. We stayed in room 102 which is a handicap room and was easily accessible for my grandmother who uses a walker. Woke up every morning to breath taking sunrise over the ocean. The trade winds helped to coo.l the complex during the day. The staff was extremely helpful with any questions that arose. There... Our 3rd visit to Kauai and stayed for a week in May 2014 as RCI exchange guests in a 2 bed, 2 bath sleeping 6. It's a little confusing trying to find reviews of this place as it sits under its sister Wyndham property where the main reception is. However, this is a very small mini resort - just 32... More

Just returned from our annual stay at the Shearwater. As in the past, we loved it and could not get enough of the incredible ocean views. We stayed in Unit 302 from which we had the most breathtaking sunrise views. Kitchens and bathrooms are currently being refurbished with updated appliances and marble counters. Units are large and the kitchens are... More

We stayed at the Shearwater in Princeville last week. We were in a ground floor unit 102. Even in a first floor unit, the views are wonderful. Our condo had a second floor unit above us and the noise from the other unit was quite loud at times, but that wasn't the fault of the resort. The room we stayed... More

The 2br/2bath accommodation was spotlessly clean with everything we could possibly need supplied. The view was breathtaking, looking over the cliff onto the Pacific Ocean and we were completely undisturbed. Provided stereo equipment was surprisingly good and each bath was a large whirlpool. Only minus was an undersized water heater. Two people could not bathe within an hour of one... More

This was our first time in Princeville and the Shearwater. We commented so many times during the week that this was the nicest condo we've stayed at and would stay here again. Phenomenal view of the Pacific!
