We just returned from this vacation. We stayed in room 102 which is a handicap room and was easily accessible for my grandmother who uses a walker. Woke up every morning to breath taking sunrise over the ocean. The trade winds helped to coo.l the complex during the day. The staff was extremely helpful with any questions that arose. There... Our 3rd visit to Kauai and stayed for a week in May 2014 as RCI exchange guests in a 2 bed, 2 bath sleeping 6. It's a little confusing trying to find reviews of this place as it sits under its sister Wyndham property where the main reception is. However, this is a very small mini resort - just 32... More

Just returned from our annual stay at the Shearwater. As in the past, we loved it and could not get enough of the incredible ocean views. We stayed in Unit 302 from which we had the most breathtaking sunrise views. Kitchens and bathrooms are currently being refurbished with updated appliances and marble counters. Units are large and the kitchens are... More

We stayed at the Shearwater in Princeville last week. We were in a ground floor unit 102. Even in a first floor unit, the views are wonderful. Our condo had a second floor unit above us and the noise from the other unit was quite loud at times, but that wasn't the fault of the resort. The room we stayed... More

The 2br/2bath accommodation was spotlessly clean with everything we could possibly need supplied. The view was breathtaking, looking over the cliff onto the Pacific Ocean and we were completely undisturbed. Provided stereo equipment was surprisingly good and each bath was a large whirlpool. Only minus was an undersized water heater. Two people could not bathe within an hour of one... More

This was our first time in Princeville and the Shearwater. We commented so many times during the week that this was the nicest condo we've stayed at and would stay here again. Phenomenal view of the Pacific!

I see not much has changed since someone gave the bad review back in Nov. 2011. Great location. View is wonderful. We were in unit 207 presidential, 2 bdrm, 2 bth. We had an unconstructed view of the ocean & pool. Unfortunately we also got all the noise from the pool as well. Being as there's no AC, you can't... More

Most North Shore properties have limited ocean views but the views at Shearwater are spectacular. The resort is perched on top of the bluff where it juts out into the sea so you get almost unobstructed sunrise and always sunset. You can see whales right off shore most of the winter and albatros, shearwater and other birds are plentiful. Keep... More

The places was great! If you like a peaceful and quiet place to stay, this is the place for you. The beach isn't accessible, but the views, if you have a place facing the beach are spectacular! The pool is small with an equally small jacuzzi. From the pool area, you can see a view of the beach, but because... More

We stayed at Shearwater for four nights recently, Monday thru Thursday nights. It's a tiny resort located right on Annini Bay. We had a second floor unit and one of the lesser views of all of the condos. It was still nice but due to the configuration of the units, not much privacy. We booked as Wyndham VIP Gold owners...
