Whalers Cove is an exceptional place to stay. Everything is clean and updated. Due to the smaller size of the resort it is very private. The landscape and pool are well kept. The closest you can get to the ocean - the view is spectacular! We have been coming here for over 15 years and enjoy staying here.

This was our second stay at whaler's Cove and we would return. My only reasoning for the 4 stars is the drone that appeared spying on us - normally would not say this is Whaler's responsibility - could happen anywhere, but the office said they thought they knew who it was and they had given permission for the drone!!!! They... More

Aloha and Mahalo for your concern. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Whalers Cove has a no drone policy. Regarding your experience, whom ever you spoke to in the office was incorrect. We had not given permission for the neighbor to fly their drone over our resort. Upon first report of the drone activity we called the neighbor and left... More

Let me start by saying I am not new to Kauai. This latest trip in January of 2016 is at least my 9th trip to the garden isle. I have stayed on the north end and on the south end, in hotels, rented houses, b&bs and at Whalers. I didn't discover Whalers until about 2 years ago as my perception... More

The view is astonishing, the condo is very comfortable, very well equiped. There is a small center close by where you can find everything you need. The only question is about the location. Poipu is in the south which is the sunniest part of the island, quite close to the waimea canyon but the beaches are not very family friendly:... More

We took a family vacation and stayed in unit 130. The unit was beautiful and had every amenity we needed. It was centrally located close to the ocean, shopping, beaches and food. The management was very accessible and gave us ideas for local things to do. The people were wonderful and the unit exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend... More

We stayed in room 123, it felt as if you were "on" the water! When you walk in the door, it's as if you were boarding a very expensive cruise ship, that's how, on the water it was. The sound of the waves crashing, the palm trees swaying and the whales spouting by. Nothing but blue or sunrise and sunset... More

Stayed just one night to be in town for the Annual Koloa Plantation Days parade and festival. Apartment 131 (which is actually on the 2nd floor). Beautifully kept two floor unit with a view from the bathtub to die for. Decorated in a tropical style with a huge fluffy master bed with an ocean side view. The second bedroom has... More

We had a great stay at Whalers Cove over Thanksgiving week! We were very happy with the resort, room and all the staff at the resort. Following are some of the major details. Rooms: The room (#136) was very clean, spacious and well-furnished. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and the dishwasher, washer and dryer were a big help. The... More

The location is awesome. Our lanai was steps from the ocean (no beach though). Beautiful grounds. The condo itself was okay. It was pretty large, but rather dated. We had an ant infestation in the kitchen. An exterminator came and the problem was solved for a day, but then the ants were back a day later, which was less than... More

I had a meeting at the Hyatt, but prefer to stay in a condo. This was our choice and absolutely no regrets. Only downside was no A/C and it was pretty hot, but they have lots of fans and cooled off at night enough. The pool area is beautiful and we were in there every day. Just next to the... More
