We spent a week at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa and came away with mixed reviews. The service, accommodations, amenities were all very good. Rooms were clean, the facility is very well maintained, food was generally quite good and everyone, with rare exception, is very service oriented, responsive and helpful. We took advantage of a Hyatt Gold Passport... more

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights at the Grand Hyatt Kauai following a week-ling business trip to Honolulu. We had an outstanding stay. The hotel is on the ocean along a stretch of beach in Shipwreck Cove. The hotel was 6 stories at the highest point (but it must have been built on a hillside as the entry... more

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 6 nights as part of our honeymoon in Nov 2008 (1st half was in Maui). The hotel lobby, shops, restaurants and common areas are beautiful. But when we were taken to our rooms we were shocked at how outdated the rooms are. To make matters worse, on our first night I looked up on... more

We stayed here June 26-July 3rd. We booked a partial ocean view, but was offered a full view for $30 more a night. The first room 6055, had a gorgeous view. It was on the top floor, in the center of the complex, over looking the pools and ocean. The only problem was, it was directly over their club with... more

This place is as close to perfect as you will find. My husband and I stayed here for the second part of our honeymoon (see my review on the Sheraton Kauai) because we didn’t want to spend that much money for all six nights. We travel quite a bit and usually stay in 3-4 star hotels…we were blown away by... more

The Grand Hyatt Resort is on the southern tip of Kauai and is beautiful! The hotel grounds are full of trees and flora, with a swimming pool that is 4' deep throughout the grounds, with water falls and foot bridges. The pool winds in and out and all around the hotel grounds. The water is bath water warm - it's... more

Well, after reading almost every single review here, i was expecting something to knock my socks off and i wasn't let down. The Hyatt is every bit beautiful and magical as everyone says. I didn't think that the lady who checked us in was particularly welcoming, and was actually a bit on the rude side. But other than that minor... more

My husband and I got married in Maui and flew to Kauai for our honeymoon. We decided to splurge and to stay at the Grand Hyatt. We couldn't have asked for more amazing service or a better time! It seemed like every employee we met there knew that it was our honeymoon and provided a little something extra for our... more

We arrived on Monday June 22, 2009 with our 14 year old son and 10 yr old daughter. The lobby is just amazing, open air. The staff greated us with lei's/beads for the guys. Check in was a breeze and the bell man was very informative about the property. We were in Room 6025 overlooking the ocean. Two queen beds,... more

This was our first trip to Kauai and the Hyatt was gorgeous. We were upgraded to an ocean view room. The beds were very comfortable and the view from our lanai was wonderful! We slept with the balcony door open and got to listen to the ocean as we went to sleep. We found the resort fee to be very... more
