On one hand, we have the amazing location and the beautiful garden setting, BTW ocean nowhere to be seen from my unit. Poipu is the sunniest part of the island, the weather was excellent, so this makes me happy at least. the beach just a few blocks away was gorgeous, and very kid friendly. On the other hand, the unit... more

We stayed in a one bedroom condo at the ResortQuest (now called Aston) resort at Poipu Kai, Kauai. The location of the condo units was very easy to access and close enough to the beach that we could walk back and forth multiple times each day. The condo was clean and neatly decorated. For the most part, we enjoyed getting... more

You know how they say if you have a bad experience you tell at least 20 people and a good experience you maybe tell 5 people? Here is our review: We had our 25th anniversary trip planned in our heads for well over a year but physically planned 6 months prior to our anniversary of 10/1. The Poipu Kai Resort... more

My husband & I stayed at this resort for 10 days, as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had a great stay, awesome views, and beautiful sunrises every morning. The staff is great, we did have a problem with a leaky pipe in the wall, (thru no fault of anyone, things happen) they just moved us to another condo,... more

We stayed at 1901 Kahula at Poipu RD, managed by Resort Quest at Poipu Kai. Condos at this address are individually owned, so as other posters have said, it's hit or miss. The first unit, # 724, we went to was horrible, smelled, outdated, and carpet was filthy. I was ready to go to a hotel, but then I decided... more

We arrived late on a Friday night and the reception was still open. We went to our condo to find that it was extreamly clean and the ameneties where fabulouse. Tile floor, granite counter tops threwout, new appliences, new cabinetry and a very formaly finished master bath. There was no airconditioning, but we managed very well with the fans and... more

We stayed at the Manualoha condos in the Poipu Kai (three kids, two parents). It was great! The two bedroom condo, which was on two levels, was veryl spacious and overlooked a pretty greenbelt. From the upstairs balcony, there was a bluewater ocean view (though this was a "garden view" condo), which made for wonderful sunsets. Twin beds in the... more

I had read the reviews of the problems at the Resort Quest properties at Poipu Kai but came prepared. We rented a Garden View House at the edge of the resort beside the Poipu Sands resort. I was there with my three kids, 6 year old, 2 1/2 year old and 8 month old. After five days, my friend saw... more

*WARNING...LONG POST* My 12 year old daughter and I arrived in Kauai on 3/28/08. I had booked our stay through Expedia. About a week before we arrived, I read the scary "cockroach" review here. I got nervous, so I called Expedia to see what my options were if we wanted to check out early. They called RQ Poipu Kai, and... more

I was very leary from reading some of the reviews but I have to say me and my family thouroughly enjoyed our stay and the Poi Kai Resort. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom garden view. The ground very beautiful and we really enjoyed the pools. The maid came in everyday and gave us new towels and fixed our... more
