Staff was friendly and excellent service. I would recommend staying in poipu and renting a car, rather than staying on the north side of the island. Restaurant was exceptional and they put an emphasis on customer service with a personal touch. Everyone from the valet staff to the front desk to the restaurant staff was very engaging and personable

This review might sound a bit harsh, but frankly both my wife and I thought that Koa Kea was a good resort, but a poor value. We're writing this in night 9 of 10 at the property. While we fell in love with Kauai, and will definitely return, that trip will not include the Koa Kea. The resort has a... More

From the moment you arrive on Kaua'i's sunny south coast, you are made to feel very special at this quite exquisite resort. It is not a large impersonal space, but rather quite intimate. The rooms fringe a sizeable freeform pool with comfy loungers and luxurious, soft towels. The shore and the beach are steps away and a neat pool bar keeps... More

We spent an enjoyable week at this fantastic hotel. I've stayed at the St. Regis, Grand Hyatt and the Marriott's Kauai Lagoons. All 3 of those property are big wonderful properties, but Koa Kea is special. This is a boutique hotel, in the best location, on the prettiest Hawaiian Island. This hotel is really for couples and not families. There... More

Worth every penny. From the check in to the check out we loved this place. And it gets our vote for best Valet service ever. The valets sensed our every need, providing pool towels, pulling our convertible up with top down and trunk open, providing written instructions to every where we needed to go. We ate two meals that were... More

The room we were in was on the ground floor on the far right of the complex. It was private and lovely. The shower was amazing with enough room for two. The resort had amazing food where breakfast was included. On a happy note for the newly weds or those escaping children, there were NO kids. It was great. The... More

We just returned from a fabulous week at the Koa Kea Resort. The ambiance of the hotel is warm and beautiful . The service is perfect without being over the top. Our room was lovely . If you can afford an ocean view it really makes the stay special. We upgraded from a garden view and it was well worth... More

Was in Kauai on business and booked the Koa Kea very last minute (same day) when our existing booking unexpectedly fell through. Really glad as the Koa Kea was simply perfect in every way. I travel extensively for work and seldom see the attention to detail and friendly service I found here. Add to it the breathtaking Poipu Beach location... More

We are repeat visitors to Koa Kea and are already talking about our next trip here! Ocean front suite is about as close to the ocean as you can get without actually being on the beach. Nothing overly fancy about the rooms, just understated luxury with a homey feel. Gorgeous, tropical floral arrangement and a bottle of champagne from the... More
