I stayed at the Kuai Inn for two non-consecutive nights. The owners were so friendly and helpfull, after showing us to our rooms (very comfortable and very clean), they offered us some snacks. The next day they helped us get to the bus station and even held our bags while we went backpacking for a night. I would highly recommend... More

Initially we were a little worried about the Kauai Inn. The accomodation blocks looked old and tired, the air con made a terrible noise, and the rooms looked a bit 70's-ish. This wasn't helped by cockerels crowing at all hours, although to be fair, our sleep patterns were wrecked from jet-lag. However, once you got the hang of using the... More

We’ve stayed at the Kauai Inn twice now. First trip was my husband and I on our honeymoon a few years ago, and more recently, we travelled with our one year old to the Kauai Inn. On both of our trips, I have loved having the Kauai Inn as our base of operations. From the Inn, we traveled easily up... More

Our room had bedbugs and my legs were all bitten. When I got home I had to wash and dry everything in hot water; I put things in the freezer that I could not wash. I was really disappointed. The hotel itself needs some TLC.

Aloha Patricia, I am the concerned owner of the Kauai Inn and very shocked reading your review. Our Hotel has NEVER HAD BED BUGS. We have a monthly contract with EcoLab Pest Division and have had for over seven years. EcoLab inspects our exterior and interior guest rooms every two to three weeks and treats for pests. They have never... More

Arrived in Kauai without any reservation, in the high season, we found this hotel on the recommendation of the managers of other hotels full booked, where we had asked for a room. Walk along the port of Lihue is not uplifting, and not part of the most beautiful areas of this beautiful island, but once past the commercial port, everything... More

We needed a place to stay for one night, prior to going to our vacation rental. We didn't want to spend much, and this place was reasonable. It is very basic. Nothing fancy, but it was clean. Everything is a bit dated and could use some upgrades, especially the AC which was old and noisy. The management is very nice... More

This place is clean and mellow. It's off the main roads, so no excessive noise or crowds. The room was a little stuffy. Granted I was there during a hot week, but the AC they have in the rooms is really outdated and wimpy. However, the nights cool down nicely. The bathroom is very simple. They had a refrigerator which... More

I arrived at the airport later in the evening, and didn't want to pay an outrageous amount of money to sleep in a room. So I decided to stay here, and I really don't have any complaints. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was clean, a bit musty, but rather warm when I walked in. There was air... More

My wife picked this hotel because it's a pretty nice hotel for the cost. We were in Kaua'i for 16 nights. Sixteen times the typical resort rate - $300 or more per night for a room for four - adds up fast. We were managing to a budget and and this hotel helped us do that. Here's the rundown: ROOM... (If you love Kauai tell your friends to go to Maui) This is my new favorite Kauai hotel. The reason? NO CROWD, NO RESORT FEES. To all the people complaining about not having a corkscrew supplied for free at your demand or closet doors that don't slide right or noisy air conditioners or noisy park across the street. THANK YOU.... More
