We needed a place to stay for one night, prior to going to our vacation rental. We didn't want to spend much, and this place was reasonable. It is very basic. Nothing fancy, but it was clean. Everything is a bit dated and could use some upgrades, especially the AC which was old and noisy. The management is very nice... More

This place is clean and mellow. It's off the main roads, so no excessive noise or crowds. The room was a little stuffy. Granted I was there during a hot week, but the AC they have in the rooms is really outdated and wimpy. However, the nights cool down nicely. The bathroom is very simple. They had a refrigerator which... More

I arrived at the airport later in the evening, and didn't want to pay an outrageous amount of money to sleep in a room. So I decided to stay here, and I really don't have any complaints. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was clean, a bit musty, but rather warm when I walked in. There was air... More

My wife picked this hotel because it's a pretty nice hotel for the cost. We were in Kaua'i for 16 nights. Sixteen times the typical resort rate - $300 or more per night for a room for four - adds up fast. We were managing to a budget and and this hotel helped us do that. Here's the rundown: ROOM... (If you love Kauai tell your friends to go to Maui) This is my new favorite Kauai hotel. The reason? NO CROWD, NO RESORT FEES. To all the people complaining about not having a corkscrew supplied for free at your demand or closet doors that don't slide right or noisy air conditioners or noisy park across the street. THANK YOU.... More

Hotel near Menehune pond and Nawiliwili harbor. 10 minutes from Rice street (main street). Rooms are dated, but comfortable. In room microwave and mini refrigerator. Daily continental breakfast served. Quiet and rustic surroundings. Lots of chickens roaming property (and the island). Helpful and friendly staff. Maid service available. Free parking. There is a coin operated laundry room. No restaurant on... More

We chose this hotel based on previous reviews, the proximity to the airport and the quiet location. We were at the end of our vacation and just needed a room for two nights. The hotel is older and didn't seem to have many guests which made us wonder in hindsight why we were put in a room next to an... More

If you're looking for chic modern conveniences then the Kaiuai Inn isn't for you. But if you want a comfortable bed in a large, clean room with private bath/shower, a/c and ceiling fan, amazingly relaxed booking in and welcome on arrival - "you can sort the paper work out in the morning" - and wake up to a beautiful setting... We needed a one night hotel and did not want to spend a lot of money so the Kauai Inn seemed to fit the need. The reviews are pretty amazing so we felt confident in our selection. We were certainly disappointed. The grounds are very well kept. Upon arriving, I asked to confirm that we had requested a late check... More

Kauai Inn staff is amazing. They are friendly and willing to help you with almost anything! The place is a little off the beaten track, but offers an affordable and quiet vacation spot. Located in Lihue, it is easy to get to anywhere on the island that you want to get to.
