We stayed here on points and thought the hotel was great! it was clean, staff was very friendly. Rooms were large and quiet. Pool was beautiful and grounds maintained well. Seafood buffet was fantastic! Only con I did have was that a lot of the machines in the fitness room were broken and had signs that they were going to... more

Being owners at other Marriott Vacation resorts we knew the level of service and comfort to expect when we managed to trade to this location. The so called ‘Villas’ at this particular resort are not as large as most of the others, certainly with regards to the kitchen. Something you should be aware of if you are planning to take... more

We had stayed for 5 nights back in May on Marriott Reward Points. From the moment we checked in we loved the hotel. Our front desk clerk was great. We had reserved an ocean view room and our check-in girl told us that if we waited a little while she would be able to give us a room with one... more

We just returned from the Marriott Kauai Beach Club. Some of the reviews had us a little worried; I know the property is scheduled for renovations starting later this year and I didn't know if it had really gotten run-down. There was nothing to worry about. The place is still gorgeous. We had a 2 bedroom villa with a spectacular... more

Good location, beautiful pool and nice beach with grass. Hotel is very close to the airport so you can catch the shuttle service. It runs around 15-20 minutes. Staff is very nice and polite. They have a nice decent size fitness center compared to most hotels. There is no snorkeling at this beach; it is a quiet hotel with a... more

I decided to write a review of this hotel because I wrote one for the Sheraton in Piopu where we also stayed on our trip to Kauai. Our experience at this hotel was much different from the other in many ways. Although this hotel is much prettier, and the huge pool is beautiful, we did not feel the Aloha spirit... more

My family and I just returned from a 5 day, 6 night trip. While I've been fortunate enough to have visited Hawai'i numerous times (including several visits to Kaua'i), this was the first time I've had my 3 boys (12,10 and 8) with us. I think this is an excellent choice for those looking for a good, first time, family... more

My boyfriend and I went here for a long romantic getaway. The resort was beautifully maintained with lush gardens/koi ponds. The room was large with a balcony over looking the pool. We enjoyed Duke's, but other than there not much in the way of nightlife. The gym was large with good equipment. I really can't think of any negatives other... more

Despite some unfortunate circumstances upon booking our reservation, we enjoyed our stay. My husband and I only stayed a couple nights for a wedding, and felt that we had a very good experience. The non-renovated rooms clearly live up their reputation-very outdated and overpriced. We requested a renovated room, and paid through the nose, but probably landed ourselves best room... more

My wife and I celebrated five days of our honeymoon at this resort and were disappointed to see that the hotel does not actually open to the ocean, rather a cruise port. The number of children in the pool limited the quiet time by the pool. The staff was very friendly and rooms were nice, but rather dated. The good... more
