I struggled to find just the right place for my wife and I to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Neither of us had been to Kauai and we wanted the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views of Kauai. The Kauai Banyan Inn far exceeded our expectations. Lorna has thought out EVERY detail and truly has everything you need provided... more

What do you want while you’re on Kauai? Yes, there are resorts on the beach but if you want to really experience the island’s magic then the Banyan Inn offers you the chance to feel like you are a part of the island culture. The Inn is situated in a quiet valley that offers a wonderful tropical view. We had... more

After deciding on what Island to visit in Hawaii, I quickly started to research all the hotels, restaraunts, and things to see in Kauai. I was having a hard time deciding on a big resort or a small bed and breakfast. I kept coming back to the reviews of Lornas place (the Kauai Banyon inn). Everyone seemed to love this... more

We stayed for 5 nights in the Ulu suite and it was wonderful. Lorna was so nice and greeted us when we first arrived. We saw her around the grounds occasionally throughout our stay, but she mostly kept to herself (unless we had a question or issue, and then she was very helpful!). It was a good balance. The Inn... more

We would both recommend staying at Lorna's house for a trip to Kauai. We also spent some time on the North Shore but the condo was not as nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the extra ammenities were nice to have: snorkels, water shoes, boogie boards, towels, coolers, travel books, tea, coffee, butter, etc. Lorna goes above and beyond... more

We staying in the Cottage and it was so cute. You walk down these wooded steps to get there and Lorna had the windows and doors open (of course with the screens on) to air it out and get a really great breeze. She also had a cute welcome basket. Our room came with towels, dishes, cooking utensils, toaster, blender,... more

My husband and I called Lorna, the owner, to book a room for the second half of our honeymoon and she told us about their cottage called the Awapuhi Hideaway that was not yet on their website, but available. After sending us some photos, we immediately booked it. Contact Lorna for photos (I didn't want to post hers for copyright... more

We stayed here end of June for a few days during our honeymoon. We stayed in the Ulu suite and it was just heavenly. The room has the most wonderful layout, with this fantastic porch with great views of the mountains. We saw some wonderful skies while enjoying a bottle of wine the evenings we were there...and ate breakfast on... more

We were sooo happy to stay at B&Bs for our honeymoon, and the Banyan Inn was the perfect place to relax. I swear that we did not hear any people the whole time we were there. In past reviews, there were a lot of complaints about the roosters; they are there, but the earplugs that Lorna (the owner) gives you... more
