My husband and I just got back from a two week stay in Hawaii. Our first week was on Kauai and then headed off to Maui. First of all I wish we saved Kauai for the end. What a Beautiful Island. We stayed at the Hyatt for 7 nights and just loved it. Granted it is very expensive but it... more

My wife and I stayed at the resort for one week. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was nice but nothing special, but when the grounds have so much to offer, who wants to stay in the room? The restaurants are wonderful and the grounds make you feel like you're in the botomical gardens. The slide is... more

If you plan on spending a great deal of time at the hotel, this place is great. The pool and lagoon can't be beat. There is no need to travel to another beach either. There is also a nice hiking trail that joins the grounds. The hotel also has a beautiful area overlooking the ocean where they have live entertainment.... more

I give the hotel and grounds a 10+. I give the general hotel staff a 6 and the concierge a 1. We had three rooms in April 2008. Weather was great, hotel wasn’t very busy, grounds were perfect, pool was spectacular. Great hotel for an adult trip or with kids (separate pool areas). The Poipu area is a great place,... more

This is a really wonderful hotel. Went with my wife and 8 year old daughter. The rooms are very nice, we had ocean front. Maybe a bit out of date, baths are huge and very nice. Never felt crowded with the 3 of us. The food is very good but fairly pricey. And I found few choices for our daughter....but... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt from 4/20-4/26 after staying up in Princeville the week before. The hotel itself is one of the nicest ones to stay in across the island. If you are comparing it to the Princeville Resort, it is much nicer. We visited the Princeville hotel from the home we rented during our initial... more

We just returned from 8 glorious days on Kauai. We spent 4 days up north between Hanalei and Ha'ena at a studio called Palm Hale and then 4 days at the Grand Hyatt. We explored every inch of the island. We drove to Waimea Canyon and although it was a long, twisty drive, it was well worth the spectacular views... more

We just returned from our honeymoon stay at the Hyatt in Kauai and we are stil glowing! This resort was the total package. Every interaction with staff, at all levels, was exquisite. From room service and valet to waitstaff and management, each person we encountered was polite and friendly. We were so pleased that we elected to go with the... more

I have NEVER not wanted to leave a property I was staying at. We had a club level room and the food was great. The room had an awesome view and a nice bathroom. What really stood out at his hotel was the number of things to do. We spent a number of hours at the spa. The exercise facility... more

We stayed at the Hyatt for a medical conference in April. we have wanted to stay at this property since we first saw it 15 years ago. I wish we hadn't waited. It was unbelievable! The property was even more gorgeous that I remembered. The pools are great and the location by the ocean is great. some high points: walking... more
