We booked this hotel through an Alaska airlines package. We selected it because it was centrally located and because of the adjacency to Lydgate park. Most beaches in the area can be unsafe to swim at due to riptides and/or shorebreaks, but at Lydgate park they've built an artifical reef that not only makes for safe swimming but also provides... more

I have stayed at the Aloha Beach Resort twice. Once July 2006 and again March 2008. I have to say, we had a nicer room in July 2006 but since we were only staying one night and left for a timeshare the next day, I had only chosen "run-down" of the house. Our room was not upgraded since.............dark and overlooking... more

We arrived at night so there wasn't alot to see. We did however see the large tractor trailer and the lack of cars. When we got to our room it smelled musty, the air didn't work (although it was blowing) and the beds were cheap and uncomfortable. The shower was like a small telephone booth with a nasty shower curtain... more

We booked this hotel for a weekend trip and got there late on Friday night. The staff was friendly and informative. The room was fairly clean and comfortable. The shower was small and the elevator was old. Even so, the rest of the renovations looked great. It will be even better when they get their fish back in the ponds.... more

We booked into the Aloha Beach because it was the site for an Elderhostel program we were attending. When we checked the TripAdvisor reviews, I got a little worried because several were very critical. When we arrived, we couldn't see much to complain about. The open air lobby is charming. The service is very friendly. Yes, there was still some... more

This is the last day of our stay here at Aloha Beach in Kauai. We booked through Alaska Airlines before we read the reviews that others had writen about this hotel. After reading the reviews, we called Alaska to see about changing hotels and I am so glad our agent talked us out of it. This place is charming, friendly... more

We stayed at the Aloha Beach resort twice: one night in a cabin at the beginning of our stay and one night in a basic hotel room at the end of the stay. The cabin was worn and overpriced (smelled a bit musty when we first arrived and we swore there was a dragon living in the toilet) but the... more

Clean rooms, great beach nearby, renovations nearly completed. Pool was being cleaned, smaller pool was open. Great location for exploring the rest of the island. If you want a 5-star hotel- then pay for one- this is not it. We were very happy with the service. more

After camping 1 night on Anini Beach Park... I decided that I wanted to sleep on a bed and not on the ground the next night... I booked this hotel through hotwire for $96/night + tax. It was a perfectly decent hotel...the room was big and included a fridge and microwave. It's a little far off from the Coconut Marketplace... more
