Hotel was located close to the airport. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. A nice clean beach with a snorkeling cove located steps from the property. Many shops, stores, and restaurants close by as well as a golf course. Free parking on site. more

Booked garden view room online & paid deposit for stay. Arrived & placed in a room next to laundry for entire hotel. Asked for a room that was more quiet - given another room which we could barely see the garden due to a tree in front of window. When we checked our charge card after arriving home saw that... more

We stayed 4 nights in one of the cottages at the rear of the property adjacent to the state park. It was a huge mistake. The rooms were very dirty and run down. Carpets were stained. The furnishings were very basic. Our expectations were not very high and the hotel could not even meet that level. Surprisingly, the hotel web... more

We arrived for a four night stay May 27 - 31. Open air lobby nice and front desk staff very friendly. Our room not so great. The first negative the carpet felt wet, and our room was very damp. The ac would not cool, called front desk they sent over main. to adjust. It barely cooled the room for the... more

We read reviews here on Trip Advisor back in January when booking our trip to Hawaii, at the time the reviews for the Aston Aloha Beach Resort were above average so we felt it was a good choice at that time. When we arrived in late May we wondered if it was the same place we'd read reviews on. Sadly... more

I had read lots of reviews about this hotel and was concerned but I was pleasantly surprised to say we had absolutely no problems with this hotel. It is such a change of pace after being in Waikiki it is very quiet and we had a garden view room 1308 which was very clean. I also liked being so close... more

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days back in February 2009. We picked this hotel because of its location right next to Lydgate Park and the sights that we wanted to see, for us this was quite central. The best thing about this hotel is the location; Kauai is simply a stunning island. Let’s face it, this is not... more

Despite some of the negative reviews regarding the rooms, we found ours to be clean, comfy, well-appointed, and roomy. Our room had two queen sized beds, couch, table, desk & chair, dresser, nightstands & large counter outside the bathroom area that served as a vanity. Rooms on the first floor opened up to a small lanai, but, our door didn't... more

For the value, the Garden Island Inn wins tops down. Unfortunately this could be a wonderful place to stay if a little effort was put into it. The rooms were dirty and the staff cheap with amenities. For instance, you get 1 coffee the first day and then have to pay for the rest. The Garden Island Inn provided as... more

We booked this hotel as a package deal with our car rental. For the price it was ok since the beach was just a short walk outside our front door but becareful the grounds have this soggy stuff on them. Close to the airport as well. We were upgraded to an ocean view room which was great. The down sides... more
