Overall, Pono Kai was very good not excellent. The beach has eroded to the point that a orange safety net is between the resort and the ocean. We recently stayed at Pona Kai in a two bedroom unit managed by Marc Resorts. The place was a total pig stye. It was dirty as hell, all kinds of things were broken and in disrepair. My husband and I stayed there for a week during our honeymoon. There was not one ounce of romance in that place! Please trust me when I say don't bother! Enjoyed my stay there, Per comment to avoid Jocelyn but she was not what I read she was going to be, she was friendly and nice to me. I recommend Pono Kai more
