A place in Hawaii to be forgotten..expensive compared to filthy rooms, very bad service ( people at the desk it is unhelpful and almost aggressive ), noisy and the other guests around you are homeless, unemployed or drug addicted people, just looking for a temporary accomodation . Horrible! Beware of this weird place!! And one last thing : to all... More

We've spent the better part of the last 20 years visiting this proper for 1-2 weeks each time! We love the cozy, homey atmosphere. It's not luxury, BUT the fact that you are ON the beach is an amazing relaxing experience 24/7 while you're there!

My BFF and I were here for 10 days. Loved the hotel - small, clean, by the beach. Walk all over. Saw sea turtles, monk seals. Great pizza at Bobby V, shaved ice at Goobys (get the "real Hawaiian with ice cream and milk) up the street to the Shrimp Station. Best breakfast at Country Style Kitchen up the street... More

Don't listen to reviews from egomorons who apparently need a hand crossing the street. This place is old but the service is good. The people at the desk treated me great. Ellen checked me in and gave me good advice. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular and the on sight restaurant,The Bull Shed, is right... More

The building old but the view outstanding! The condo simple but proficient! Perfect location to explore both sides of this amazing island. Good value for money. Big down point that after a day there was no internet and the one of the staff was not helpful.

Welcome to 1950 meets 2014. With wifi who needs a tv. All rooms face ocean and great lawn with pool. Ground level with fan no a/c. Tennis court with rackets provided. Lots of games to play on grounds with best steakhouse next door. Good fishing too on the beach or off the break wall.

If they still have the same General Manager they had in June,I wouldn't stay there if it was free, most uncaring, unpersonable, porest excuse of managing I have ever seen & I have traveled for many years, unfortunately if Castle Resorts employ this type of person, wouldn't stay at any of their resorts!

Came in on a late flight the day before the start of my weeklong stay at Marriott Waiohai in Poipu Beach. Had to bite the bullet and find a cheap ($91 for a studio) hotel in Kapaa .... a town that is so horrible you should not tell your friends back home you stayed there. The highway (?) equals El... If you are looking for a beach front resort without paying the beach front price then the Castle Mokihana is the place for you. The hotel was exactly as advertised the architecture is a bit dated but the rooms and clean and the staff are very accommodating. So if you can live without a TV in your room and sketchy... More

we stayed here for a couple nights. Its a good budget place to stay, nothing luxurious but did the job, rooms were clean, showers were good, the beds were good and rooms were quiet. Unfortunately rooms were not equipped with AC or any tv,but this adds to the charm in a way, we had the coast breeze coming in every... More
