The sunrises were beautiful here. We had great breezes so not having air conditioning was not a problem, at least in Feb. it wasn't. We had room 210 and the furniture and bathroom are very old looking, but it didn't ruin our experience since we were only their to sleep. Make sure to bring ear plugs if you're a light... More

This older 3 story hotel is very budget friendly. Located on the beach (although not swimmable, but swimmable beach 3 minute walk away). The rooms are older, with hawaiian decor, but clean, just do not expect a 5 star resort. The rooms do have a kitchenette (sink, coffee maker, fridge and small set of dishes). All rooms are ocean front... More

I was concerned about staying here after some negative reviews, and was therefore even more amazed when we encountered a spotless, obviously renovated room upon our 11:30 pm check-in. All rooms are at least ocean view with the sound of surf (we were told by several people that the Mokihana was the first timeshare on Kauai and is the closest... More

This is an old hotel with a fantastic location. You have sea a few steps away and the shops and restaurants 500 yards the other way. The room has two single beds and a simple bathroom. There are kitchen equipment but no stove or microwave. Would you like to cook, there are gas stoves outdoors. We did not try. A... More

Good value for a couple of guys who spent little time in room. Great location next to the ocean with good view of water from balcon.. Somewhate dated and in need of extensive renovation. Not recommended for family or romantic getaway.

A place in Hawaii to be forgotten..expensive compared to filthy rooms, very bad service ( people at the desk it is unhelpful and almost aggressive ), noisy and the other guests around you are homeless, unemployed or drug addicted people, just looking for a temporary accomodation . Horrible! Beware of this weird place!! And one last thing : to all... More

We've spent the better part of the last 20 years visiting this proper for 1-2 weeks each time! We love the cozy, homey atmosphere. It's not luxury, BUT the fact that you are ON the beach is an amazing relaxing experience 24/7 while you're there!

My BFF and I were here for 10 days. Loved the hotel - small, clean, by the beach. Walk all over. Saw sea turtles, monk seals. Great pizza at Bobby V, shaved ice at Goobys (get the "real Hawaiian with ice cream and milk) up the street to the Shrimp Station. Best breakfast at Country Style Kitchen up the street... More

Don't listen to reviews from egomorons who apparently need a hand crossing the street. This place is old but the service is good. The people at the desk treated me great. Ellen checked me in and gave me good advice. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular and the on sight restaurant,The Bull Shed, is right... More
