We booked our hotel through a travel agent and was not aware that the room we got only had double beds. We have a baby and baby slept between us on a double bed. Imagine that...... The hotel would not even offer to accommodate us because of our situation. I also saw roaches in our room.....kitchen area, bathroom, and on... more

Great location, right on the beach, wonderful upgrades and great decor. The lani is so nice to sit and watch the ocean while having breakfast, lunch or ??? The price for the room was great considering the location. Parking was NOT an issue for us, but I can see that some might have had problems. The grounds are so nice... more

Aloha and thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that you were not informed prior to your arrival that all of our garden view and partial ocean view units have 2 double beds. We do have queen beds for ocean view and ocean front units and these units have a slightly higher per night rate. In the warm humid...

I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff here is great and the service is impeccable, like what you would expect at a 5 star hotel. The hotel has wonderful ambiance, with tapestries and antiques decorating its common rooms. You really feel like you are a continent away when you step through the doors. Loved my stay! Thanks so... more

The location of the hotel was great, but my request for a top floor room and quiet location were not considered. The room was small with mold growing on the walls. We had a garden view room so other locations in the hotel may be different. The beds in our room were very uncomfortable and made a loud squeaking noise... more

Drove up- Parking was horrible we had to park out by the street Luckily we thought we are only staying one night We arrived at about 9p - Only one person in line in front of us, took the front desk lady almost 30 minutes to check her in. -Painful!! Got checked in and was told we were upgraded to... more

We stayed in the Islander for 3 nights. The room was very nice and clean and the location was great. Parking was never a major issue - we always got a spot in the lot without much trouble. The views were nice and sightseeing for the whole island of Kauai was convenient from that location. Our room had a sink,... more

We love hearing from our guests. Being right on the beach is wonderful for everyone staying here. Living on Kauai, one does not always appreciate the sound of the ocean and it's great when we get reminded that we live in Paradise. My apologies for not having your request acknowledged regarding a quiet room. We do our best to check...

I stayed at the Islander for 5 nights. I have been a meeting planner and event planner for two decades and have stayed in some of the most upscale hotels in the US. I am a VERY picky and critical customer and I was very impressed with this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The room was... more

I have to say first off that the room was very clean and I loved that dishes and silverware were left for guests. It was very thoughtful. I enjoyed the upgrade to ocean view as well. I did however have an issue with zero parking the night of our arrival. Many cars were there without passes and nothing was being... more

We stayed here our 1st night on the Island only. But, would stay again in a heartbeat for longer. It is located in a wonderful area walk just across the street to the coconut marketplace for shopping & dinning options. We ate at Eggberts for breakfast the 1st morning fantastic pancakes!! The best part about this hotel besides the ocean... more

We stayed at the Aston Islander in June 09 for three nights. The beach in Kapaa isn't the most scenic so we were less than excited about our beachfront room. The room was clean with all the basic amenities. The one problem worth mentioning is that we could hear our neighbors all the time. There was a common door between... more
