Stayed her one week solo. Really enjoyed it. Was very peaceful and relaxing and great to have my own space. The room I stayed in was lovely and clean. Didnt see the hosts a lot but didnt mind. It is a little way out of town but not an issue if you have a car. The facilities are great and... More

We stayed for only two nights but we would have liked to stay longer. Nice and clean room and friendly hosts. From here we did day trips to the north coast (Ke'e Beach), only takes about 45 minutes. We will come back if we should travel to Kauai again!

Stayed in this beautiful BnB Dec 2013 with family. A place that has been nurtured with plenty of love & care deserves a good wrap. We felt quite at home here, we did not want for anything. Rooms were ample, beds comfortable (slept very well every night, no loud roosters) and TV room downstairs provided a great hub for morning... More

Really relaxed stay in a beautiful place! Felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time since the other room was not occupied most of our stay. Good location since you are smack in the middle of North and South island, so rent a car and explore with this little gem to come back to and relax... More

Makaleha Bed and Coffee is beautifully situated on Kauai, with a garden seemingly part of the nearby mountains. The bed rooms and the large, well equipped common quarters are nicely decorated in oriental style; a great feel of luxury compared to sterile hotel decorations. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. A unique place to stay!

I would definitely recommend this place for the price we paid. The property was lovely and there was a great view from the patio and lanai. The sounds of nature were ever present. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We had access to all the beach amenities we needed… boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, coolers, extra beach towels, even a... More

What a treat. Staying at Cathy and Ben's Bed and Coffee was a very unique and wonderful experience. The decor of the room was simply gorgeous. The common quarters were huge and equipped with everything you need. They have had a lot of beach toys which made our son's experience even better. Thank you for a great start of the... More

My wife and I stayed here on our Honeymoon last month. This Bed and Coffee is run by Cathy and Ben who are very friendly and helpful hosts. They offer lots of great advice on how to spend your time on the island and are extremely hospitable. The home is beautiful, bedrooms immaculate, and you can sometimes see waterfalls from... More

Staying at the Makaleha B&C was an unexpected pleasure. The room I stayed in - I think they only have a couple - was so different from a hotel room. Spacious, nicely appointed with en suite, it had screened windows to open and a ceiling fan, making for a peaceful night in contact with the lush, garden surroundings. The shared... More

We stayed at Makaleha for the last three nights in August, 2013, after completing the Na Pali Coast Trail. It was an awesome location for us as we were close to several hikes in the area. Truly a beautiful mountain view from the terrace. Bedroom was very relaxing and beautifully furnished. Appreciated having the kitchen and bar-b-que to cook our... More
