I loved our stay here. You are so close to the beach, in a little cove where you can hang out in the water safely in any season. Saw awesome sunrises and lots of humpback whales from our lanai, walked next door to the Coconut Marketplace to get plate lunches at Harleys & ice cream at Lapperts, and on Tuesdays... More

I am not going to reveal which oceanfront unit we just stayed in a few days ago, but was a ground floor, even number unit. The reason I am not going to say which unit we stayed in, is because we don't want too many people to know about this incredible place to stay on Kauai. Our unit was even... More

We really loved Kapa'a Sands! The unit was clean, smallish but plenty of room for us. We really loved the patio, and having our own little stretch of beach was great too. We even had a monk seal conk out directly in front of us! They blocked off the beach so people wouldn't mess with him, but we had a... More

We stayed at Kapaa Sands (in Unit 22) for 6 days, and, while it was eventually a pleasant experience, it was not without some kinks. The most pressing issue was the noise, which, as we were staying in an oceanview unit, was considerable. You can only hear it in the second bedroom, but it was so bad we had to... More

I am writing this review in response to a few bad reviews written by folks who seem to confuse this place with a $600 dollar a night resort. We stayed a few days in both #6 and #9. For $150 a day we enjoyed a great on the ocean view that was exactly as billed. Both condos were clean and... More

We stayed 5 nights in unit #17 on the upper level. The view of the ocean was nice. When we walked in, we were surprised to see a fold out wall bed and a very small bathroom all painted in solid white. The tables were very dirty with old drink rings and dust that I was able to clean off. There... More

We were in unit 12. There are 22 units total, which gives a very private and quiet feeling to the whole place. We traveled with 3 other couples so we were able to see other units as well as number 12. There were variations in furnishings as each condo is individually owned, but generally all were similar. The bed was... More

We stayed in condo number 4 which was on the ground floor and offered magnificent views out to sea. The room was clean with bedding changed on a regular basis. Though the condo was not large, especially if you left the bed down in the day, it was ample for the week we stayed. The kitchen was well provided for... More

We spent 3 nights at Kapaa Sands in unit 19 and we loved it. Its a little small but it was clean and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen. There was a nice patio with a table and chairs and we could sit out and eat meals and not hear any other people making noise. There is no... More

We stayed in Unit #2 (2/2 oceanfront) and after reading other reviews of #2 on this site I was a bit wary since it appeared to have a roach and ant problem over the past few years. However, it must have improved since. There were a few of those tiny ants, but it wasn't close to being a problem (no... More
