Clean and comfortable low rise hotel, conveniently located less than 15 minutes from LIH. Booked a King room via Priceline, with small kitchenette and fridge. With this came a room next to the stairway and the furthest away from the water. Still had a great view of the mountains and a portion of the beach. Photos from the website were... More

This property should have upgraded/renovated 15 years ago... and again 5 years ago. A tired... place. You need the windows OPEN because the mold/mildew aroma is STRONG inside. There's no "alternate" placement... all the units here are the same age and - oddly... completely booked. That won't be a problem for our future visits - if you have ANY allergy... More

After reading a lot of really good reviews here, and waiting for our much-anticipated trip to kauai, we found ourselves in a rather lack luster property. The landscaping is beautiful, and that's where it ends. Our room in the Blue Hawaii had several issues. One of the bathroom faucets leaked (poured) water out from underneath the faucet base itself, the... More

Long time Shell Vacation Club Owner but first time staying at this resort. The location was absolutely perfect for getting all around the island. Very centrally located. Close to Lydgate Beach which is a great swimming beach. Also very close to a couple different water falls that can great pictures can be easily accessed. Close to the Eastern trail of... More

This was our 5th stay. We always find it clean and welcoming. Everyone was wonderful, the front desk, the concierge, and especially Mike at the pool bar. He gave us a lot of advice on where to go and was very friendly. No elevator, be ready for that, but we were able to handle 2nd floor and we are senior... More

Very accommodating and easy to book despite this being a last minute trip. The front desk provided all the information I could need and were very helpful. My room was situated on the second floor. It does not have elevator access. It had a balcony overlooking the garden and an ocean view in the distance. Comfortable and clean with an... More

This is our 5th year staying at the Beachboy. The 12hour flight from Canada is well worth it for the incredible experience we have enjoyed year after year. Troy Spalding and his staff are superb. The level of customer service is outstanding. The oceanfront location is breath-taking and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. We love the Hukilau Restaurant onsite and... More

this is a first class resort that recently underwent a major overhaul. The 2 bedroom unit we occupied was clean, well maintained and close to everything we needed. One point for consideration, however, was the lack of elevators for upper 2 floors, so if you have ambulatory restrictions, ask for first floor. Otherwise, the place was immaculate. Beautiful, spacious and... More

Traded our one bedroom in Scottsdale for the same. Condo was clean and maintained. Grounds very green and lush. Small swimming pool and rocky non-swimming beach. The area of Kappaa was my least favorite - strip malls etc... However in the town of Kapaa we had a wonderful meal at the Eastside Restaurant. Best beaches of the trip belonged to... More

Came because of the availability. Nothing disappointing at all. Gorgeous grounds and even better ocean views. Staff was exceptionally pleasant, but how can you expect less from anyone lucky enough to work in such a beautiful place. Will be back!
